    Report is tat he suffered compound fractures in his legs. In surgery as we speak. Officials will be addressing the accident itself shortly. (CNN)

    I've already seen people online accusing him of being impaired. He wouldn't be the first person to relapse in a fight with addiction but only jackals enjoy jumping out there and trashing a person at the lowest point in their lives, EVEN when no one knows, yet, whether drugs or drink were involved.

    That is what I am hearingtoo.

    Someone suggested distracted driving..........but that is probably speculation.

    Until more FACTS are revealed...we wait ..

    BRAVO!!!

    It is reported that tiger was conscious, calm and lurid when approached by the officials. No obvious signs of impairment. He was wearing a seat belt, air bags had deployed. He was oriented as to name but i did not seem in pain........probably that initial shock phase. One of the first res ponders gave an excellent summary . Very impressive young man. The timeline of attention to this accident is impressive too.

    TMZ reporting jaws of life were not used as initially reported and that Tiger drove away at a high rate of speed from a hotel, almost hitting a car in the parking lot, after he had to wait for someone who had blocked his vehicle in. Apparently some TV show was being filmed there.

    Injuries include "shattered" ankle and two compound fracture in both legs.

    Hope there is no vascular or nerve damage from the compound fractures. That would determine the type of recovery he has.

    I suppose left leg is less critical than the right one for a right handed player, but he won't be on the tour this year either way.

    Read somewhere that there is something funky about that stretch of road and that there have been so many accidents there that they have installed some kind of netting in the area for some purpose or the other related to them. Perhaps to catch the debris. IDK. My city has a few spots like that. One is an off/on ramp that is pitched backwards and a lot of semis have flipped over on it when their loads suddenly shifted.

    Speed appears to have been a major factor though as he crossed the median, apparently flipped several times and still came to rest a bit of a hike uphill off the road.

    He was 30 mins late for a meeting with Drew Brees and Justin Herbert, so he was driving like a maniac. No drugs or alcohol involved.
