Trump didn't begin the Cohen re-payments until 2017, well after the election was over...

But don't forget that even in covering up Crime #1, he committed Crime #2 by lying about how much he actually repaid Cohen

    https://www.cnbc.com/2018/08/24/tru...n-what-he-stated-in-financial-disclosure.html

It's like a disease with this guy...

So, it’s OK to bribe or pay off someone for their silence during a political campaign as long as it isn’t campaign funds!

So, you can bribe, blackmail and buy your way into office as long as you don’t use “campaign funds”.....

    Got it.

The cover up is always worse than the crime.

And Trump was too stupid and too arrogant to cover his own tracks.

Trump said he knew nothing of the payments to Cohen initially, but then Rudy came out and explained them. So Trump had to recant. Cohen submitted invoices for legal fees which were actually reimbursements for the hush payments. But if you don't want to see anything wrong with that, it is your right.

If Trump has been on the level, he has nothing to fear and will get a chance to clear his name. If he hasn't been on the level, let's know about it.

Trump worked hard to ease government’s burden on the people, e.g. lower taxes, reduced regulations; Biden has been adding to the burden at a record pace. It’s pretty obvious which one has Der Fuhrur aspirations.

Well, that didn't take nearly as long as I thought it would.. I heard some pundits say it still might take a few weeks or more

    SNIP
Nearly a decade’s worth of former President Donald Trump’s tax documents have been turned over to a New York district attorney’s office, multiple outlets reported Thursday.

The office received millions of pages spanning from January 2011 to August 2019, according to CNN.

Trump circumvented the Constitution to unilaterally institute tax increases that, collectively, equal the biggest tax increases we've had since the 90s.

Why don’t you provide a cite - it’s not up to me to prove your contention. I’m sure the countries he conquered rejoice in the freedom and reduced regulations he brought.

Actually, you are up first with that as the one who claimed that raising taxes and increasing business regulations makes someone like the Fuhrer.

Only for those who don't understand what the word "tariff" means. Those capable of understanding such basics understand why it is idiotic to call it "reaching."

I agree. Your comparison was indeed a red herring. Glad you see that clearly now.

He didn't know how Cohen handled them he left it to his attorneys. There was NOTHING illegal about Trump paying someone for a NDA get over it. Yes Cohen violated the law in how HE handled them.

There is if the intent was to protect his chances in the election and he didn't report it as a campaign expense . . . especially if he also wrote it off as a business expense. Plus, if Cohen is correct, this was all done at Trump's direction. What is it that you think Cohen did illegally that somehow wouldn't have any legal implications for Trump?
