Even the Huffpo, Little Green Footballs and Snopes aren't completely calling out a conspiracy theory:

    Another nothingburger.....

CPAC’s ‘Nazi Rune’ Stage Designed By A Liberal Company Which Has Worked For Biden, MSNBC.

The company – Design Foundry – told Forward it “had no idea that the design resembled any symbol, nor was there any intention to create something that did.”

“The designs, renderings, drawings, specifications, materials and other documents used or created as part of the proposal are owned by Design Foundry,” the contract reads.

The company, however, has worked with companies including MSNBC, Google, and the Biden Cancer Initiative.

Specifically, it provided similar services for the 2018 Biden Cancer Summit, which featured President Biden as a speaker, and the 70th anniversary of MSNBC’s Meet the Press in 2017, a 2017 summit for New America – an organization led by Obama administration alumni.

And of the $7,766.50 spent by Design Foundry workers on federal elections, just $140 – or 1.8 percent – went to Republican candidates.

Oh, stop! Biden, a Dixiecrat? Ridiculous! Obviously you don't know what I'm talking about, so this is for your edification:

    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dixiecrat

Please show me how Biden fits into that. I'm not going to bother with the rest of your post, considering.

Biden was a segregationist he was against integrating schools. He called it a "racial jungle:. His best friends in the senate were Dixiecrats and a klansman and he was proud that Delaware was a slave state. He also tells idiotic racist Cornpop jokes.

This Rune, which in German is called "die Othala Rune" - was reserved for the Waffen SS soldiers who were the more brutal ones. It was a sign of honor given to those who killed innocent people the most. This division, the one allowed to use the symbol apart from the Hakenkreuz, was the 7th division and was called the "Prinz Eugen" division. And to make it cool for youth to want to kill, especially a lot of Jews, for instance, the rune was used for the Hitler-youth as well.

Had WWII happened at the end of the 20th century, we would have said that the Othala Rune was essentially the Hakenkreuz (Swastika) on steroids.

This rune that you see is actually the 24th letter of the runic-alphabet called "Futhark" but is missing from the Altnordischen (Old Northern) alphabet. Beware, in this case, the use of "alt" can actually mean the newer version. The meaning of the 24th letter is "property" or "home".

The presentation of the Othala Rune, like virtually all nazi propaganda and acoutrements from WWII, is banned in Germany, excepting the use of such for educational purposes, namely, to teach about the history of Nazism and WWII.

The stage for CPAC is obviously a perfectly shaped Othala-rune and also facing in the right direction, meaning one who is speaking could look down and from his perspective, recognize the symbol. Also, the band of stars (usually, 3) is tied in with this, and amazingly, a band of stars was projected onto the stage from above.

This was in no way an accident. This required planning and coordination.

Trump's CPAC/GOP has literally turned into a band of nazis, plain and simple, which doesn't surprise me even one little bit.

Doesn't even warrant a response, but I'll provide one anyway.

You must think that African Americans are stupid. Do you really think that they would overwhelmingly vote for a man who fit the nonsense you posted?

Biden has always tried to get along with everyone in congress in order to get things done. It's called compromise, a word that righties seem to have removed from their lexicon. It certainly does not indicate that any were his "best friends."

Someone told me the stage design looked like Bugs Bunny from Looney Tunes, and now I can't unsee it.

The design turns out to be the result of space and social distancing concerns, what happened to Occam's Razor:

BTW, thanks for creating this thread. I am working a lot and really have little time for politics forums right now, just enough time to tend to the Covid-19 numbers and sometimes, the approval/disapproval numbers.

I want to tell you that my German friends, upon seeing the picture of the CPAC stage, spotting the Othala Rune immediately, without a picture of a nazi soldier next to it. And I mean, they spotted it IMMEDIATELY. By some, it took their breath away.

White Nationalists, especially the turdballs who espouse the famous 14 words, know exactly what these symbols mean and where they were last used in our planet's history.

No, it is not. That statement of your comes out of pure ignorance. In Nazi-land, the Othala rune was presented exactly in this way, so that the top of the 24th letter of the runic alphabet can be seen as the top of the letter by the speaker, not the public. So, no, the rune is not "upside down".

In fact Biden led the Dixiecrats' final and successful legislative battle to preserve racial segregation in our DP ruled urban hell holes.
"In 1968, the Supreme Court ruled that districts had stalled long enough, and federal courts began requiring communities across the country to desegregate their schools by busing white children to mostly black schools, and vice versa.

As Biden took his seat in the Senate in 1973, a case challenging racial segregation in Wilmington and its suburbs advanced through the federal courts, and resistance grew. Whites in the North tended to support civil rights as a general matter, but many saw it as a problem for the South, not one that should affect their lives or schools.

“When activists started to push for racial justice outside the bounds of the Jim Crow South, and whites in those communities were threatened with busing, we see this kind of backlash,” said Brett Gadsden, professor of history at Northwestern University and author of a book about desegregation in Delaware."
THE WASHINGTON POST, Joe Biden called busing a ‘liberal train wreck.’ Now his stance on school integration is an issue., By Michael Kranish and Laura Meckler, June 28, 2019.

Biden is a notorious DP racist. It's not a secret.

"The quote is accurate as reported and reads in full: Unless we do something about this, my children are going to grow up in a jungle, the jungle being a racial jungle with tensions having built so high that it is going to explode at some point. We have got to make some move on this.

We contacted the Biden campaign for comment but received no response in time for publication."

"Because Biden made the remark about a “racial jungle,” we rate this claim as a “Correct Attribution.”

Yep. At some point around "before page 8", I speculated that the design company's owner was quite possibly a Liberal playing a practical joke on CPAC with the design.

Congrats to all the conspiracy theorists here at PF who went on for days about dog whistles and NAZZZZZIIIIIIII's. LOL

My first thought was that most Republicans wouldn't know the symbol at all, and would probably think as you do, but I have two problems with that:

    1. The GOP, by and large, has not cared a whit about social distancing during this pandemic, so why start now?

    2. Rank and file may not know this symbol, but the planners of this event? The person who designed the stage? I wonder ...

This is the kind of misconception that happens when we learn only the highlights on an issue or situation, and simply repeat the partsan talking points.

Perhaps Biden was simply trying to satisfy his constituents, who were apposed to busing as a remedy for the poor performance of minority schools.

    https://www.politico.com/magazine/story/2019/05/05/joe-biden-busing-problem-226791/

Busing was never a viable solution to desegregating schools, as I suspect you know. Biden's going against it wasn't about racism or keeping black kids down, it was about the ridiculousness of the very idea, a position with which I agreed.

Getting your kids up and fed and ready for school while it's still dark outside, getting them to their bus so that they could be driven way across town ... no one liked that. In crowded cities it was often time-consuming, due to traffic, distance, or both. Your kids had to be on the bus at 7 a.m., sometimes earlier, and often didn't get home until after 4 or 5 p.m. How would that improve anything? It was wearying for all involved.

It would have been far better to take the cost of busing and poor it into improvements of inner city schools. What most people of any skin color wanted were better schools in their neighborhoods.

I concede that Biden did work alongside old guard, racist Democrats, but that doesn't make him a racist. Just not as bright as I'd like, but I've felt that way about most presidents.
