Baltimore will no longer prosecute for drug possession, prostitution, or other low-level crimes....

Another shiny example of Democratic governance. Democratic Mayors throughout the entirety of my life. It seems to be working for them, this is the type of governance we need in every major city.

Murder will still be illegal. What’s your issue with the new policy?

Well, I'm sure from one perspective that these 'minor' crimes are better off not being prosecuted.

But, from my point of view, when I see these people (druggies shooting up or men urinating on the ground) on the side of the road I think it's so much of a downer and makes an area seem scruffy.

Seattle is doing the same thing and as far as I'm concerned the people in these Cities who vote these CRAZY Politicians that enact these nutty policies deserve to sleep in the Bed they've made for themselves. Fortunately! I'm far enough away from Seattle that I don't have to worry, but in a Few Years, I'm liquidating all my Properties at the Crazy Prices Homes are costing here and buying a beautiful Home in Northern Idaho surrounded by a lot of Property, somewhere they've never heard of BLM or Antifa and Liberals are not welcome with their BS.

Baltimore mayors run the show. And looking at the last five Mayors what do you notice what they have in common?

I'll help you out. They are black Democrats.

Why do you suppose the police are racists when they work for Black Democrat Mayors? Seriously, I challenge you to try to answer this question.

BTW, The last Republican Mayor left in 1947.

There are only 2 things about Baltimore I liked when I was there in 2007, The Inner Harbor and Blue Lump Crab Cakes at Mo's Seafood restaurant. I'm tellin ya, those Crab Cakes are like a Dream come true, but we accidentally took a wrong turn and ended up in a part of Baltimore that 4 Whitey's weren't welcome, so I doubt I'll be Back, but DAMN! those Crab Cakes

Local City Hall corruption was far worse about 80+ yrs ago. These days, fewer places work without public scurtiny or observance, which exposes the most blatant.

How about you go tell me all about why you think the blackness of the mayor's skin color is making the predominantly white police force racist.....

Cool story brah.... because a police force that is 52% black and latino is PREDOMINANTLY WHITE.
    upload_2021-3-30_8-32-36.png
Look at their obviously racist police commissioner.

I don't know where you are getting your facts from but they don't appear to comport with the reality that google is currently showing me.

I don't think it makes them racist. I think it means they are probably not racist or they would be fired.

BTW, "how about you go tell me all about" is redneck speak, i.e., with extra words thrown in like for example "cut that half in two" or per the movie deliverance "now let's you just drop them pants." Why not simply say "why do you think....?" Sort of ironic to have a redneck speech pattern used for a question about racism.

Baltimore is not even 30% white.
So I'm in my right to call it predominantly white.

I dunno where you are getting your facts from. But posting black people and labelling them racist, is just rather weird.
Baltimore cops have an exceptionally bad reputation of being crooked and racist.
It's only because of total unwillingness to look it up, if you can't find that.

The US justice department found that police department had it's racism firmly institutionalized.
They even found a guy being stopped 30 times in 4 years: zero arrests.
Over 30 people got stopped 20 times. All of them black
Over 400 people got stopped 10 times, 85% black.

If them people are among those destroying that car of the tyrants: it figures.

The DA's office is not so empowered. The city counsel is. Your obvious problem is you cannot measure those 'low level crime rates' if you are actively discouraging the reporting of said crimes. The question becomes do you need even measure public urination or prostitution or pot distribution in the first place?

I have been to the part of Baltimore you mention with three other coat and tie wearing White men riding in a late model SUV. No one seem too interested in us.

Baltimore will no longer prosecute for drug possession, prostitution, or
rioting and burning in some lefty liberal acceptable circumstances.

It amazes me that the liberal left can simply choose to ignore the laws that they wish to ignore.

If you want to stop prosecuting specific crimes, decriminalize these items.

I think this is what democrats do. First, they make their city a shyte hole, (see NYC circa 1965-1980) get everyone out of the market, drive prices artificially low, and then the rely on republicans to put a stop to crime, meanwhile, they've invested in debilitated real estate, and then magic happens, the city returns, and they make billions of dollars from their artificial scam. I guess it is now Baltimores turn and being the next Detroit.

Of course why would you track some crimes and not others?

Public urination will get you on the Sex offenders list ( unless its a gay pride event) or **** holes like San Fran...

Is that a serious question? I am supposed to waste my time describing the difference between pissing in an alley and homicide, and the detail and the depth of federal and state stats and analysis based on homocide rates subdivided by every metric from religion, to place, from left handedness to birth order so that you can figure this out?

Guess what pissing in an alley will get you besides a dirty look and a warning by a beat cop. Answer: nothing unless you whip it out knowing a 10 year old girl is standing within eyeshot.

If its a crime.. it should be tracked.. Pretty ****ing simple.... If they no longer want it to be a crime.... we have elected officials for a reason.
