"Fox News Primetime" host Ben Domenech sounded the alarm of a "new American crisis" during his first show Monday, asking who will lead the nation when the crisis ends.

"Understand it is the totalitarian left that WANTS a national divorce. They want racial strife that burns down your cities. They want envy and segregation and division that pays for their million-dollar homes in Topanga Canyon. They want to demolish Mount Rushmore and force you to pay for abortions. They want to teach your children to hate cops, the anthem, the flag, and everything you were raised to love and respect," he said. "But we’re on to them. We’re not going to let them. And together, we’re going to show them what free people do."

BEN DOMENECH: What does it mean to be a nation?

It’s a question we have to ask ourselves in a moment when so many people seem open to the possibility of a national divorce.

A nation isn’t just a random group of people who happen to be in the same place at the same time. It has laws and borders and values. And it isn’t born, it is made.....

The political left have a far different vision of and for America than the rest of us do. The differences are about as stark as they were in 1775 or 1860. Even our founding itself is being questioned by them as they try to replace 1776 Patriots with 1619 project propaganda.

We are One nation Under God, indivisible. Our founders knew we were created equals in His sight, and that He is the source of all of our inalienable human rights. George Washington said we became a nation by divine Providence and that our republic was only fit for a moral and just people. Our motto, in God we Trust is correct and we will not give any of the above up nor apologize to anyone anywhere for saying it.

Another XXJefferson#51 thread, another hyperpartisan, divisive opinion piece trying to radicalize people on the right by casting unfair aspersions at everyone else.

You're doing the very thing you're accusing the "totalitarian" left of doing, and you, XXJefferson#51, do this on a constant basis. Why?

The left doesn't want a "divorce" because then they would have nobody to blame for their failures. I personally wouldn't mind America being broken into 4-6 different countries.

Heh. I was going to suggest that Jefferson take his message of unity to those in Texas who keep agitating for secession, but here you are doing them one better!

Why on earth would anybody want to divide America into several countries? What a ridiculous idea.

I guess the canard about red states costing blue states is just that... otherwise, blue states should be happy for red states to say goodbye, right?

I am an opportunist. I bet those Blue Staters would pay a mint to be able to come to our fine beaches and golf courses in the blue months.

I don't care what one state supposedly costs another financially, it's not worth dividing the nation over. Nor are the political ambitions of the *******s on both sides of Congress worth that.

And yet we're stuck with those ********s on both sides in Congress, because there's too much money in DC corrupting them as soon as they get there. In fact, most are corrupted before they get there because of campaign finance laws and loopholes. Ilhan Omar paid her husband's firm $2.8 million dollars from her campaign over the past two years. We can find examples on both sides, no doubt.

The nation's already divided. Democrats don't want to unify it right now. They want to keep tearing it up.

I still see people on the right doing the tearing, and a big part of that is all of the hysterics about what people on the left are allegedly doing and their alleged reasons for doing it..

I don't see much of that at all. I see liberals invent terms like "systemic racism" and use the term and related terms to insult people they disagree with but don't even know.
I see idiots like Jerry Nadler insulting everyone's intelligence by claiming that they would not be "packing the court" by adding four justices, they would be "unpacking the court".
Trump was an unavoidable reaction to the continual progressive rot of national discourse, mostly led by liberals.

    Exactly. The right is flailing.

What I don't understand is thinking the same dumb tactic of accusing your opponent of that which you do is gonna work this time.

So, the unavoidable reaction was to elect an incompetent criminal as POTUS?

continual progressive rot of national discourse

What do you mean by that?

    We're not talking about Biden.

Very simple. If there is a legitimate discussion to be had about a topic, say, police reform, then have a well thought out debate. But the rhetoric is that this is a national epidemic, the police are all systemically racist, and if you don't agree with us, you're racist, too. 'Police are literally hunting black people' some claim, lol. It's nothing more than name calling. And that's coming from the media AND the politicians on the left.

Based on statistics, there's not an epidemic. We can start there. With over 10,000,000 arrests every year in the US, there is simply no evidence of "systemic" racism in policing.

Liberals are making the claim that there is a "systemic problem". Prove it. If you think that you can just make a claim without backing up that claim with facts, then there can be no legit discussion.

I don't know about any of that. You are a multicultural country - be flexible about your identity maybe??

One thing though, and this is coming from a lefty: a country without a border is not a country. You should have the right to decide who comes in.

Once upon a time there was a bipartisan bill that would have fixed that problem.
But for some reason the party controlling the house wouldn't bring it up for a vote that was pretty sure to pass.
Instead we have been suffering with the problem for years with the same party crying about it.

I’m simply telling the truth from my point of view. I completely agree with the Fox News host who made those comments yesterday that I seeded from Real Clear Politics. I make no effort to hide that I am a moderately conservative person who leans toward libertarian, populist, and Christian depending on the issue.
