I see no way that this case would get to the U.S. Supreme Court. What would be the principle being decided; i.e., what is the basis of the appeal, the words of that INFLUENCER of Influencers, the GRAND Maxine Waters? Get real.

Whats going to happen now is cops all across the nation will be looking to transfer to the countryside or find a new career, and those that remain cops are going to be hesitant to respond to difficult incidences. I have no doubt the appeal will be filed in part on that grounds, but unless they have a lot more evidence that this jury was actually tainted before this statement hit the news and this was some 'last straw' on a camel's back argument,
then this man is going to do his time. She did not say anything that protesters do not say with a bullhorn in front of the courthouse in any famous trial. Its sitting on placards when they arrive. The judge overreacted because he had to sequester and he was worried he made that call too late. Basically a member of the jury pool is going to have to admit that they broke their own oath, not to let exactly this kind of thing affect their decision and that this statement had the effect of changing their vote. Not likely.
