Twitter Thwarts Trump's Latest Attempt To Get Back On Platform, Bans New Account

This is pitiful, disgusting, sad and pathetic too! I hope Facebook makes their suspension of Trump permanent like Twitter did?!! Let's keep the social media sites, free of Trump?!!

Former President Donald Trump’s most recent attempt to get a platform has been upended.

On the heels of the launch of his new webpage, “From the Desk of Donald J. Trump,” on Wednesday, the former president’s team created the handle @DJTDesk on Twitter. By Wednesday night, the account had been suspended.

“As stated in our ban evasion policy, we’ll take enforcement action on accounts whose apparent intent is to replace or promote content affiliated with a suspended account,” a spokesperson for Twitter said in a statement.

Trump’s “From the Desk” page is essentially a blog with a timeline format that resembles both Twitter and Facebook’s platforms. In the site’s brief life thus far, Trump has made a series of scattered, combative posts attacking the likes of Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.). He also lambasted Twitter, Facebook and Google by name.

I don't understand why he just hasn't created his own social media website or a forum.

He has. In the OP. Twitter won't allow him to use their platform to publicize it. Twitter seems to feel they have the right to dictate to their platform what information they can view or read. Time to remove their 230 and make them liable for all of their content since they seem willing to curate it now.

FB and Twitter is to Ban/Suspend ANY Account that posts things from Trump's "platform" on their sites.

Anybody who wants to bask in the Imbecility of Trump's Mentally-Deficient Brain Diarrhea is always free to visit Trump's "platform".

I take a medication for my blood pressure. I can tell when I've forgotten to take it because I don't feel well. This is what I envision about Trump. His "life force medication" is adulation. It's clear that he's not well emotionally over these bans.

 

Well, thanks for the acknowledgement then that they should not have any legal protections then. I agree that any media that curates their content is then liable for their content in its entirety and of course, the legal liability of that decision. And, Trump's people had to be dreaming if they thought that would fly.

Trump's People = DELUSIONAL (just like Trump).

 

And this, ladies and gentlemen, is what an ACTUAL war on the 1st Amendment looks like. It's their platform. Their property. But keep declaring war on their rights so that the Nanny State can force them to publish things they don't want to. Just don't pretend to care about actual, real rights or limited government. No one will be daft enough to believe it.

 

It costs money and takes time and effort and trump is lazy and cheap.
