    Before I left the church it was common for a anti-gay message but could not recall an adultery or gluttony message in the last decade.

    More widespread, in any case. Adultery and homosexuality are an expression of lust. Curbing one's lust is much the same as curbing one's gluttony.

    Not sure I can agree that homosexuality is an expression of lust anymore than the love I have for my wife is. Sure, there is lust there, but there is so much more.

    I used to think that your view was the correct view. But as one that was in church a minimum of 3 days a week and in the Marines before and during the time of DADT I had never really known any gay people.

    Once out of the Corps and in the "real" world I got to know a good number of them. Almost all were in the same kind of committed relationship that I was in with my wife. Who was I to tell them they were wrong.

    Sure, there are homosexuals that are very promiscuous, but none any more so than I was prior to my marriage.

    My experience with gay couples is that they are dysfunctional. One member is a narcissist and the other a source of narcissistic supply.

    I find it hard to imagine you have a whole lot of experience with gay couples. I have a gay co-worker that has been with her partner for 23 years and got married as soon as they were allowed. They have a wonderful daughter she talks about all the time

    I worked with her for more than a year before I knew she as gay.

    In Luke 17, Jesus compared the evil end of the age to the evil "days of Noah" [grave sin = race-mixing] and evil "days of Lot" [Lot lived in Sodom]... twin Bible examples of wicked societies past the point of no return... then Jesus compared His second coming to the fire that destroyed Sodom.

    Ironic that the two grave sins that caused God to destroy the evil "days of Noah" and evil "days of Lot" are now being radically forced upon countries around the world.
