What he calls "a highly obscure academic theory" called Critical Race Theory has been taken up by the right as this seasons boogeyman. Something to get the masses work up over. LOL! if there is no correlation between SAT and GPA then it means that the SAT is working well for college admissions. The most selective colleges have the most difficult courses and the least selective have the easiest. So the SAT is selecting the best students for the most difficult courses, the ones the less gifted (low SAT) couldn't pass. If The SAT were a random number, the GPA and drop out rates for the most selective colleges would be much higher.
Must be why universities are making SATs optional. Having the best SAT tutors money can buy and being able to take it as many times as you want doesn't flatten the playing field.
