Zip over your head. Why are they reporting it. Can you please ask yourself that. You have any idea how many such propaganda tapes are made in North Korea, China, Russia, etc. Why would they be reported?

What because Fox shows deliberately created propaganda films since Fox didn't make them, it makes the tapes credible?

Come on man. The original source is diaheria. For Fox to pick up that diaheria and spread it means what? It means they have dirty hands man. You gonna hold hands with Fox?

Let's get to the point. China feels Taiwan is part of China. For it to take pack Taiwan forcefully it has to put a conventional army on the ground and occupy Taiwan. Look at how much problems they have in Hong Kong and you think Taiwan would not be even more of a mess in Taiwan? Taiwan is not Hong Kong or Tibet. It has arms.

Now whether the US, Japan or South Korea would do a damn thing is anyone's guess, probably not, but Taiwan has modern jet fighters, and you can bloody well bet it has nuke weapons it keeps secret just as Japan and South Korea do. China knows that. Its a wild card to invade.

China can if it wants use economic warfare or cyber warfare to do far more damage than a conventional military offensive anyways.

It could in theory consider a conventional military operation in Taiwan because its close by but even then it would be a logistics nightmare.

Yes its feasible China could invade but at what economic cost? It will trigger riots in Hong Kong and a united economic front against it in the Pacific and probably Europe and North America.

China is economically vulnerable and a takeover of Taiwan would not help its economy at all. Its more interested in natural resources in Africa and Afghanistan and the Middle East's oil.

I think if China feels powerful these days over Afghanistan and goes in there, it will bog them down and get them in deep crap and preoccupy them as has its internal civil war with its 30 million Muslims.

Everyone needs to get a grip.

Anyone with intelligence and historical perspective can clearly see that evil antichrist marxists and their perverted cultural marxists spawn have undermined, taken over, perverted and destroyed the USA since [as Putin says] marxist STALIN WON WW2. Pity you don't have the vision to see that.

The fear is when China and Japan start calling themselves brothers. Then woe is us, or should I say woe to Russia.

For all the friendship between Russia and China, the Russian polls show that the Russians living near the Chinese border will be voting for the nationalist party next month. What's interesting is that the Muslim and Buddhist Republics favor Vladimir Putin's party, and the industrial centers the Communist Party.

China will offer Afghanistan economic help for its road and belt initiative, as well as help to develop its resources. I read that 80% of Afghanistan's budget has disappeared. Turkey will offer help too with Qatar's money and also an Islamic military alliance that includes Pakistan.

I see Turkey gaining the ascendancy.

Your knowledge of these matters is far superior to mine, but the Japanese and Chinese have thoroughly hated each other in a way that is difficult for those of us in 'the West' to fathom -- since as far back as the time when Kublai Khan tried to invade Japan in the 13th-century.

And then, of course, there was the more recent 'irritant' of WWII, and it may be hundreds more years before either of them gets over that....

My German friend with considerable knowledge about these matters would agree with you... and, we shouldn't forget that Afghanistan is a rare-earth treasure trove! The Chinese will take full advantage of that!

I think the term commonly used is not Marxist but ideologues, and many in Washington's so called 'think tanks' are Trotskyites. As for Soros whose Open Society Foundation contributes to over 150 liberal organizations in this country alone, I did watch him speak to an audience and say that he believes in a one world government and economic system.

The one world government is now referred to as the 'Great Reset', but the enslavement of humanity would be the same as the Soviet Union. To me, the smaller the government and the more self sufficient people are, the more freedom people have.

I'm not discounting global trade, since we do enjoy it, only that no one or group should be dependent on others for their needs and for their survival. This world is too precarious for that.

What China and Japan have in common is their past subservience and anger towards the West. It's what drives them. It's not far fetched to see a time when Japan might be humbled because of natural disasters, and forced to turn to China for help.

I say this because a few years back, Japan told Russia that they need the Kuril islands in case of an earthquake and other natural disaster since they have no place for the people to go.

What do you know-- the Chinese Communist Party can be as irresponsible, regarding nuclear threats, as our ex-President, Donald Trump.

As for the threat, it is all bluster, an attempted intimidation, which appears to be China's favorite tactic, of late.

What the threat is, in reality, is a blatant sign of weakness, that China would need resort to this tactic, against Japan, which has purposely kept it's military small, since the end of WW2. Imagine the U.S. warning El Salvador, that we will nuke them, if they interfere. Would that show the U.S.'s strength, or make it appear that we had no confidence in our own military?

I didn't realize-- that wasn't clear to me, from the OP.

In that case, I agree with you: who cares?

    Really? Anger towards the West?
Is that why China has claimed the whole Sth China sea as its own?
Didn't China say it would vacate Sth China islands?
Didn't it then so it would stay but not militarize these islands?

So, maybe it is militarizing these islands (is Scarborough) because it
    is 'angry' with the West?
The black death came from China
    Marijuana came from China
    I am angry with China.

Yeah, food, per se, is not an issue in China at the present time -- but if anything happened to disrupt or cut off exports of food to China, you may be sure that all hell would break loose, and it wouldn't take long to happen, either.

One scenario periodically reviewed now in Western 'think-tanks': the major-league nations in the world decide that through negligence, stupidity, and bureaucratic bungling, China is, in fact, GUILTY of releasing the COVID-19 virus onto an unsuspecting world. Those same major-league nations, citing staggering amounts of damage to their economies, to say nothing of millions of dead people, hold China responsible and tell the Chinese government, "Pay up now, or, nobody's going to export any more food to you until you do!" :unclesam:

To dodge that bullet, the Chinese government would have to kick food "gene modifications" into an impressively high-gear never known before -- FAST -- in order to avoid "regime-change", nicht war...? :knifefork:

Also widely referred to as "Trotskyists", even as far back as the 1920's. They were/are acolytes of Leon Trotsky and his political philosophy: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trotskyism

Trotsky was assassinated outside Mexico City in 1940, by NKVD agents sent by Stalin ....

This is irrelevant--and, yes, I do know Stalin ordered Trotsky murdered.

If I recall correctly, China leased a lot of land in Russia's Far East years ago and they are using gene modifications since the soil there is not that great. I should think though that with all their technology and construction, that they would be able to build vertical farms and green houses for vegetables. As for grain to feed the animals, they can get that from Russia.

Anyway, I doubt there would be any regime change, since the Chinese are proud that they are now a power to be reckoned with. Every hostile move we make will only bring back memories of western oppression. I think we're pushing it with Taiwan since it does have a nationalist party that wants union with China.

I don't know that much about the Soviet Union, but I believe Trotsky wanted continuous war and revolution towards a one world government, while Stalin was willing to limit the USSR's expansion to Eastern Europe.
