If it turns out that you are not teachable, then obviously you
know more than God knows and there will be no place for you
in God's Heaven. Heaven can only have one Supreme Being.
A Supreme Being that will never consent to become a student
to be taught wisdom and truths by one of His creatures.

    Agree?
    Disagree?
    Thoughts?

Do you know this as an unquestionable certainty? Or could you have more to learn?

Oh but I am a very strong proponent of equal rights, I would certainly reserve a place for God in my Heaven.

I see you have built yourself a little human box of what God can and can't do. That's so sweet.

The very idea that life is probation for which one is judged by a perfect Father/God, is to many, an intrusive compulsion into their bliss. I can understand that reaction to the concept. After all, aside from the threat factor of being judged, life is brimming with deceit, and the kaleidoscope of religions and religious denominations are enough to make ones head spin. God is over here...no, God is over there. It is enough to cause the most sincere of heart to simply remain where they are, as if to say, here is where natures God(if there is one)has placed me, and here I shall remain with my conscience, my family, my values and traditions. Still it never hurts to investigate....to go straight to the source and ask God which of all the competing religions and doctrines is true. Lastly I would counsel to beware of falsehoods and to not be inclined towards ones own understandings, conclusions or surmisings. As that would be to construct ones own God. If God is real and true, you will recognize him. You will not say, aha this must be God. No, God is sufficient to leave no room for doubt....if he is real. Without those bona fides, you are off the hook so to speak. I can testify that God is real and that he lives. But we all have our seasons, and God works according to his plans.

    Thank you for your comments.
You put some thought into writing that up.
Thanks for your time and effort.

A personal word here: That old thingy about the
confusion that exist in the minds of some people,
caused by comparative religions has never bothered
me in the slightest. The Lord Jesus taught in John 7:17,
that if any man desires to do the will of God, that man
would come to know the truth. The people that do not
want to do the will of God, will always find some
intellectualized excuse that, in their minds, voids out
their responsibility to God. Hell will be packed with
inhabitants that start their sentences with "But, but, but
I had my good reasons for not believing . . ."

There are many roads that will take men to Gehenna (aka Hell)
One of those roads is named:
THE WORLD HAS MANY CONTRADICTORY RELIGIONS
THEREFORE I WILL NOT BELIEVE IN THE GOD OF THE
    BIBLE.

    Best Regards,

According to the fairy tale, when Adam & Eve ate from the tree of knowledge of good and evil, they became as smart as God on those issues. Therefore, there is nothing God can teach man about those issues because man knows just as much as God does about the subject.

There is truth to what you say regarding procrastination and obstinance. But I believe that the gospel of salvation is also established and being taught in the spirit world to all who haven't heard it taught properly in mortality. God is kind, not harsh. Exacting, yes. But not a lover of cruelty.

What do you think of this?

    Start quote.
After a 1957 crusade in New York, some more fundamentalist Protestant Christians criticized Graham for his ecumenism, even calling him "Antichrist".[129]

Graham expressed inclusivist views, suggesting that people without explicit faith in Jesus can be saved. In a 1997 interview with Robert Schuller, Graham said

I think that everybody that loves or knows Christ, whether they are conscious of it or not, they are members of the body of Christ ... [God] is calling people out of the world for his name, whether they come from the Muslim world, or the Buddhist world or the non-believing world, they are members of the Body of Christ because they have been called by God. They may not know the name of Jesus but they know in their hearts that they need something they do not have, and they turn to the only light they have, and I think that they are saved and they are going to be with us in heaven.[130]

Iain Murray, writing from a conservative Protestant standpoint, argues that "Graham's concessions are sad words from one who once spoke on the basis of biblical certainties."[131]
    End quote

Do I think he was anti Christ? No. I think that Billy Graham was a good man who tried to see the good in others. And I recall Jesus telling the criminal on the cross next to him that he would see him in paradise. Whatever is Gods judgment in any particular, I don't know. I only know that I must get myself right. I must also reason that if God can pour his light into my utter darkness and fill my heart with the peace from his spirit, then no one is beyond the reach of his love, regardless of whether they be in mortality or the spirit world in paradise or even hells prison. I think it is a matter of individual choice. The whole purpose of creation, mortality and salvation is Gods will to bequeath to his offspring an inheritance in immortality, eternal life and happiness. It is not for the purpose of damnation or hurt.

    You missed my point.
I was not asking if you thought Billy Graham was antichrist. (The notion that
Billy Graham was antichrist is absurd.)

I was trying to find out what you thought about what Billy said, which was:

"I think that everybody that loves or knows Christ, whether they are conscious
of it or not, they are members of the body of Christ ... [God] is calling people
out of the world for his name, whether they come from the Muslim world, or
the Buddhist world or the non-believing world, they are members of the Body
of Christ because they have been called by God. They may not know the
name of Jesus but they know in their hearts that they need something
they do not have, and they turn to the only light they have, and I think
that they are saved and they are going to be with us
    in heaven.[130]"__Billy Graham

Sorry about that. Generally speaking, yes I tend to agree with the spirit of what he said. But that's just my opinion. I don't know Gods will in the matter.

Arguably faith can make a person unteachable.

If faith is defined as “…the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” then it indicates that a person with a lot of faith will disregard evidence.

That is the opposite of teachable.

It’s concerning because it opens the door for two things:

    1. Anyone who can convince you that they are God or speak on behalf of God or are somehow sanctioned by Godwould get unswerving devotion.
    2. Anyone who can convince you that another group is against God would be able to dehumanize that group and that would make it easier to encourage cruelty toward them

    History is full of examples.

Replace the word "teachable" with "a sucker" and I'll agree..

YES! That is a great way to put it. I can come up with one too: The world of Christianity has many contradictory churches. Therefore, I will not believe in the God of the Book of Mormon...

It does not say man became as smart as God. It only said that man now can know good from evil. But, it does not say man will always choose good as God does. Nor does it say anything else about knowledge they have or not. Certainly they didn't have any knowledge to begin with about the wheel or electricity. So, no. Your reasoning is illogical and very atheistic.

I agree with that. The only thing I would add is which mansion in Heaven will each person be assigned to based on their faith? Celestial, Terrestrial or Telestial Mansion? There will be some who will commit the unpardonable sin of denying the Holy Ghost. But, that will be few in the whole scheme of things.

What you are doing is using is saying that if the conditional statement Injun made is true, then your converse statement is also true is false in logic and reasoning. A person with faith will never disregard true evidence. But, in order to have true evidence, there cannot be fuzzy thoughts or statements. Same with faith. To have the faith in Christ that the Savior taught, it cannot be fuzzy to be able to sustain a testimony of truth.

Time will tell, won't it...What if you are the sucker because you are not teachable? What will you do when it's too late to repent? I would say you may be the sucker for lacking in faith in Christ. What do you have to say about that?

Let me ask you some simple questions regarding you and your Mormon Faith.
If you will take a few minutes and tell me what you really believe
    it will help me personally.
    (1) Do you believe that you will spend eternity in the same place that the Lord Jesus is?
    (2) Are you trusting by faith in what the Lord Jesus did on The Cross as the payment for your sins?
    (3) Do you believe the majority of the members of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir believe that the
Lord Jesus died for their sins?
    (4) Do you personally feel in your heart that you have been forgiven and that you now have peace
    with God? (Romans 5:1)

Help me out here, if you will. Thanks.

    Best Regards.

    JAG

If it were just so simple. But, it isn't. There are different levels of faith and testimony. Some have a very strong testimony in Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and Redeemer and are valiant in their testimony. Others, have a luke warm faith and testimony and are not valiant in their testimony of Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and Redeemer. Others have a cold faith and testimony in Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and Redeemer. And Paul said there are 3 heavens or as in 1Corinthians chapter 15, their are 3 degrees of Glory. These are the many mansions of heaven that we will be assigned to as a condition on our level of testimony.

If it were so simple as you want it to be, there would only be a page or two in the New Testament, But, there are 421 in the KJV of the New Testament. Much in there about the Doctrine of Christ, The organization of Christ's True Church, our responsibilities to exercise our faith as by our works we show our faith and much more.
So, to answer your questions won't be like you would like the answers to be. Line upon line, precept upon precept, the Lord has blessed us with more direction and the fullness of the Gospel in The Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants, Pearl of Great Price and Living Prophets to lead us to the fullness of truth.

    1. I believe in God, the Eternal Father, in His Son, Jesus Christ and in the Holy Ghost. Based upon the Godhead's judgment and Jesus Christ as my mediator, I would hope to live again with my Father in Heaven and His Son, Jesus Christ. And, with my eternal bride and children as we fulfill our Father's Plan of Salvation and continue his increase in joy and posterity. This mansion is the Celestial Kingdom of Glory.
    2. Jesus Christ paid the price for my sins as long as I repent and keep his Commandments to the end continually repenting as the days go on.
    3. I don't go around asking people there inner faith between them, their Father in Heaven and Jesus Christ. I've been in there presence and when they sing, the Holy Ghost is present in all His glory and testifying of the truth they sing of the Godhead. Makes me believe they are very faithful in all they do. Perfect? Nope. Neither am I. Are you?
    4. I've been forgiven for all my past sins both big and small. As for today, I'll ask for forgiveness again and tomorrow as well. I know that there are some churches that teach once a person has been baptized that they no longer have to worry about where they will be in the post Earth life. But, that is a lie that Satan teaches. We have to continually pray for repentance, knowledge, direction and for others. It's not over until it's over. We must endure to the end.

I don’t understand what you are saying.

My point is that if disregarding evidence is part of being faithful it could cause a person to be unteachable.
