15 of the 19 terrorists of 9-11 were from Saudi Arabia, yet since 9-11 all we have ever done is kiss the Saudi butt. Maybe we should have invaded Saudi Arabia instead of Afghanistan.
I don't remember Saudi Arabia planning the attack, harboring the terrorist responsible, or hiding Bin Laden. But you would attack the Saidi's because some of the terrorist were from there? Oooookkkkaaaayyyyy
The taliban aren't tied to a country, but rather an ideology. They do not support the Saudi government. We attacked Afghanistan because that was a Taliban strong hold. Your post makes absolutley no sense.
Irrelevant to this thread. Comment on this: We gave the Taliban more money in arms, assets, vehicles, and hardware in week and a half than we gave to Israel in all of the past 60 years combined.
Much more the latter, 20 years worth of war crimes, genocide, crimes against the Constitution and other crimes against humanity for the benefit of the military industrial complex. 9/11 was the gift that keeps on giving for those criminals.
Tell it to PAKISTAN, our bosom "ally"....or rather the Taliban's BOSOM BRO'S.........in the end THEY got what THEY WANTED......
"Criminality" is the correct word. Politicians on both sides of the aisle took advantage of it to enrich themselves.
Bury your head in the sands if you must, but your comment screams from the mountain tops your lack of understanding of the issue. It dishonors those that died that day.
I have had numerous arguments of this time. The conspiracy theories are a bunch of crap as are these arguments that the military industrial complex caused the war to be lengthened.
Of course it did. America's biggest export is war and it is what backs the dollar. The lobby is is huge and powerful.
And yet military spending and items that have been moved outside of military spending that is used by the military has steadily increased. Let's not forget the military budgets f other countries that American companies supplies as well.
There will always be war. Humans have been killing each other for resources, and power, for 200,000-years. This will never change in the foreseeable future. Only a fool could fail to see the benefit and necessity for being the best there is, at it. However, America's aristocrats have installed their agents in government and the pentagon, and sold America down the river.
There is an "and yet". I'm sorry if the facts do not fit your narrative. Spending has increased, and US military contractors exports war.
Then shouldn't the US have a military as big as the next ten countries? Obviously, there must be a reason for that. Like for example, we pay our military more. Our equipment cost more because the contractors pay their people more. If we paid our pilots the same as the Chinese pay theirs and we bought our aircraft from China, we would spend less than China.
