    1) LOL at 'tax the rich' being punk. That's about as punk as the Spice Girls. Something you'd see printed on toddler t-shirts from Target. Further, since that whole 'eat the rich' thing is now horribly cheapened and firmly associated with a political ideology, it's about as far from anarchy as it gets. "I really don't care" is actually way more punk.

    2) You said that out loud, Fella.

Nobody is proposing taxing the rich until they’re poor. It’s a strawman argument. Bezos won’t be broke if he has to pay a few more bucks in taxes.

Why? Why should an advocate of rectifying a system they feel is unjust — that activity push for reforms and implementation of policy have to do this?

Should Gates or celebrities not be allowed to speak out against such systems?

    That simply isn’t true.
No one is seriously calling for a seizure of all wealth above a certain amount. If you tax someone worth $2BN at 50% they still have $1BN. I don’t know where you live but a BN around these parts is pretty substantial.

No I could care less I just laugh that's she's hob knobbing constantly with the rich and powerful maskless then slams the rich and powerful and maskless. She is far far far from caring about the working man, I think it's hilarious.

Billionaires writing off their 35k tickets lol. That's the whole point, can we get real and be honest, the accounts were working behind the scenes writing all that jet fuel and event costs. AOC making a statement and all you progressives lapping it up like its a real thing. No loop holes closed therefore no real tax hikes. I notice you guys are avoiding how they got to walk around maskless in NY where all the workers had to wear them. lol. The only loopholes that have been closed is the when Trump shut down the SALT write-off and of course NY rich screamed and cried death to Trump lol. Funny thing I heard yesterday if you live in NY and in the top tax bracket you literally pay 60 cents on every dollar on taxes. Think about that for second, how much more you want to tax them?

Yet the loopholes will ensure they never make 2B to tax, that's the point, it's a shell game and a political slogan that whips up the progressive poor but rest assured their hobknobbing buddies will never pay their share until the loopholes are cut out....

All you progressives? Lmfao. Everyone in the room with me right now thanks you for the laugh.

Not sure how this addresses anything I wrote. As far as taxing billionaires, I couldn't care less how much they have to pay. Poor babies. What happened to populism?

This I agree with. Does the Biden plan close some of these? I don't know, and if they don't, then I'm with ya. If they do, and the Republicans vote "no," then it's on them.

I 100% agree, if we cut out the loopholes and increased enforcement action the whole nation would be in a better position.

Hah!! They write the same tax code that they place all of the loop holes in for the lobbyist. Those $35K tickets were 100% tax deductible...

If Democrats truly wanted to tax the rich more, then they would not be fighting the SALT cap. They would be embracing it as it taxes the rich exponentially!

Real simple they don't and won't unless AOC or any other lefty cuts the loopholes. You seen a proposal to do that and wonder why not? You wonder why AOC is making statement and yet allowing those paying her way to avoid paying takes on the 100k worth of income they used for her party night? Hypocrites.

I'm not opposed to charitable deductions. Perhaps the limits need to be revisited, but tax incentives for charity are good.

I'm pretty sure there are loopholes not related to charity.

I'm not either but you could recognize how hypocritical it is when a dem wants to tax the rich but don't eliminate the loopholes and who doesn't have the cash to create those loopholes....the middle class, we always catch the brunt of it. Who is screaming for the green energy yet AOC their supporting the event with all those private jets and limo's getting her rich friends to a fashion Gala. The only one that cut loopholes were Trump and you guessed it the NY billionaires screamed and their AOC bought and paid for politicians fought it tooth and nail. It's a shell game and the progressive minions fall for it every time.

Which loopholes did Trump close? If he did, then your beef is with Biden, not AOC.

AOC is a House member. Closing loopholes in Congress requires a vote.

Keep up good grief, it drives me crazy that people scream about about something all the while not bothering to find out what a bill actually does and low and behold they would support it but the MSN told them it's Trump's so it's bad...Then you have Dems blowing raise tax smoke up their ass yet allowing the one's getting those big tax hikes to get out of them through loopholes. Progressive minions cheer lol

"President Donald Trump’s tax-cutting plan aims to eliminate all loopholes except the mortgage interest and charitable giving deductions,"

Interestingly enough AOC is an advocate for the SALT cap.
