Dude I'm retired. And a hell of a lot of front line medical people, techs nurses and doctors have walked off very high paying jobs rather than get the vaccine...

People are so confused what HIPPA allows and does not allow. If asking for private medical information was against HIPPA then schools could not require vaccine records, yet virtually every school in the nation from pre-K to college require such things.

 

Wow, so the federal govt is basically offering religious exemption carte blanche to anyone for any reason they (as other posters put it) 'make up' without any oversight, just as opponents fear anti-vax employers will do...?

Why do you think the govt would allow its mandate to be so easily and obviously 'defanged' by such a huge loophole that literally anyone can use?

 

I do not think they have any choice, how can you verify a religious view? I cannot see the courts siding with the Govt telling someone 'no, your religious views really do not say that".

But the mandate, even with the exemption has driven a good number of her co-workers to get the vaccine so while it cannot force them all to, it is having its intended effect.

I have also not been able to find anywhere what happens if a Fed Employee just says "NO". It is not easy to fire a Fed Employee

Those are mandated by state or sometimes local school Boards and not all vaccines are mandated no vaccine had previously been mandated by the feds.

"Heightened risk" is a generic term used to mislead the gullible. What is the actual risk of death for healthy people?

 

There are other sects within Christianity that refuse medical treatment of all kinds. Christian Scientists, for example.
