Good grief, a plan is a proposal, not an executive order. It drives me crazy when people fail to comprehend simple words.

That fell on Congress. Like I said, it's up to a vote. AOC has no power to close loopholes on her own.

Don't you find it interesting that she fought tooth and nail against the Trump Tax Plan yet now supports the thing that actually raised taxes on the Rich? It's incredibly funny that the progs on this board screaming tax the rich and it's exactly what Trump did by cutting loopholes like Salt, writeoffs for vehicle mileage, meals and entertainment, I could go on and on.

The point is simple, raising the rates on the rich is a shell game if you don't address the loopholes and I've never seen any dem tax bill that does that....

trump cut very few loopholes and most of them benefited only the very wealthy. The one item she agreed with him on is SALT

I won't disagree.. Tax code needs to be thrown in the garbage and fair flat tax be applied. The reason the democrats and republicans fight a flat tax tooth and nail is the lobbyist who LOVE the current tax code with an abundance of loop holes.

I wonder what AOC's net worth is. Its prolly not much (compared to her peers). While I dont find her act particularly convincing, at least she isn't sitting (I suspect) on her own huge pile of money, like most of her peers do, while demanding other people give more, like most of her peers do.

Not sure about a flat tax specifically, but yes, a simplified tax code that doesnt favor those who can afford to hire a law firm to mine through thousands of pages of loopholes is the only way to truly 'tax the rich.' Any attempt to do so otherwise is something between peak ignorance and organized crime.

And one can be very rich and still pay their fair share of taxes..

I have very nice things and never cheat on my taxes which I consider my patriotic duty to pay....

I loathe those who think they should get everything for free ( Republicans who hate taxes)and don't pay their fair share of taxes or resent paying to support their country.

Class warfare is lame and for the lazy or those who desire to ally with the lazy to stay in political power. End of story.

A flat tax would significantly reduce taxes on the wealthy and substantially increase them on the poor and middle class.

Have you been to a restaurant lately? Once seated, masks are not required for customers, but the wait staff still wear them.

AOC is a moronic clown who says insanely ignorant things. The ONLY reason everyone knows about her because all the networks wanted to interview her so they'd be the latest to report on the idiotic utterances that come out of her mouth. What has she done for her district? Murders and crime are through the roof in NYC, businesses were shut down because of de Blasio and Cuomo, and all AOC conjured up was free rent.

When someone corrects or criticizes her she plays the victim card. Offering to debate her is sexist. Correcting her is mansplaining. She has the victimhood card up her sleeve at all times and she uses it to bail herself out of the stupidity she's brought to congress.

She is a hypocrite on a national scale, she's as dumb as a rock, and Biden is afraid of her.

Why shouldn't everyone have skin on the game? 10% tax on a $140 million castle is vastly greater tax revenue than 10% tax revenue on a $200,000 pair house, yet equally contributed.

I'm thinking more of people who are, you know, at or below the poverty line. It would be senseless to pile more expense on people in that situation, at least without making up for it in some way.

AOC slapped with ethics complaint for accepting free Met Gala tickets.

“Although House rules allow members to accept free tickets to charity events directly from event organizers, the Met Gala doesn’t count because the guest list is curated by a private company, media giant Condé Nast.”

"Anna Wintour, who’s a Met Trustee, works for Condé Nast."

"Cap deductibility of event tickets at $1000. Tax the rich!"

I would think all federal aid would be exempt. I also do not see people at or below the poverty line purchasing a $200,000 paired house.
