Trump Calls Allies to Demand Gen. Mark Milley Be ‘Arrested’ for ‘Treason’

In the afternoon hours on Tuesday, following reports that then-President Donald Trump’s top military adviser had formulated secret plans in case the commander in chief went “rogue” after the Jan. 6 riot, the ex-president picked up the phone and rang up several close associates and TV-prone political allies. According to two people familiar with the matter, the twice-impeached former president was sounding testy and had a simple request:

He wanted his prominent supporters to go on television and in public this week to declare that Gen. Mark Milley should be “arrested” for “treason.”

This is the part that interests us less.

Trump's ranting is just another proof - as if any were needed - of his mental illness.

The second part is much more interesting:

Joint Chiefs Chairman Gen. Mark Milley—who continues on in that role under President Joe Biden—was so unnerved by Trump’s behavior in the aftermath of the insurrection and election that he believed the president was in “serious mental decline” and that the president could “go rogue.”

Milley, Woodward and Costa wrote, called a number of senior military officers into a secret Pentagon meeting to review nuclear launch procedures and told them to ignore orders for a nuclear launch unless Milley was involved, according to CNN. “No matter what you are told, you do the procedure. You do the process. And I'm part of that procedure.”

Milley made sure that a completely insane President couldn't launch a nuclear attack.

He's a hero.

 

Trump didn't launch an attack, he didn't incite violence and Milley was wrong. But Milley alerted our enemies who may have thought it might be better to strike us first rather than wait to see what Trump does.

Milley is a traitor and he put the entire country at risk. Arrest him, put him on trial for treason, and then ask him if he'd like the gallows, gas chamber or firing squad.

 

Pin a ****ing Medal of Honor on this guy.

 

I am happy that Milley and others were, at least, 'on guard'. Isn't that one of the things we want from a person in his position? Don't you want someone like that around Biden in case he acts in a manner that could prove dangerous for the country?

 

Sure - put him on trial. But you skipped the step where he is found guilty.

 

Remember the good old days when Obama, Bush, Clinton, Bush, Reagan, and all the Presidents going back
to the beginning didn't have multiple people on their own staff worrying about the mental health of the President ... I miss
those days.

It's time to start a third party, it's obvious the current two can't be trusted to nominate mentally healthy candidates.

First, I want to say that I am aware that I am speaking to someone who believes that Trump won and that he was the victim of a gigantic voter fraud.

That being said, in the real world, Trump has scared the crap out of people high up in the machinery of government, the military, the Secretary of State, and the highest elected official in the House.

Following the events of 1/6, they all took actions to NOT allow Trump to initiate a conflict and also to prevent him from having access to nuclear weapons.

As a result, they have protected the lives of hundreds of millions of Americans.

Now I know you would defend Trump even if he started WW3.

So I don't really expect you to understand my point of view.

 

Milley committed treason, colluded with others to commit treason. Simple stuff here.

 

Just a question, but make the scenario a general doing this to Biden. Any reason. You're still pinning a medal on that guy?

 

Let's say Biden challenges the election results, falsely claims he won, and organizes a protest/riot to prevent the VP from certifying the vote, I'd probably say he's crazy.

Because I'm not intoxicated by the 'cult of Biden', which doesn't exist anyway.

But the likelihood of Biden terrorizing the military and his entourage to the point of being taken off Football is probably zero.

 

If they think Biden is insane and may nuke China to seize power? Yea please stop that from happening.

 

How? Did Trump try to nuke China and he stopped it?

 

If he behaves in kind like 45 did at the end of his term. Absolutely!

This story is of little importance when we have a hearing going on detailing the criminal coverup of a serial child abuser by our very own FBI. It’s time to disband and start over.

 

Milley learned his lesson, let's just give him a mulligan like we did Trump and move on

Some food for thought. Should milley be imprisoned for those actions, he would still hold his head high, I doubt a single of the 1/6 insurrectionist would, and most likely be crying and kicking into prison.

 

If you believe that Milley is guilty of treason does it at all make you wonder about Trump's ability to select talent. One of Trump's main claims is that he would surround himself with the best people. He made you think that due to his business success he was excellent at spotting talent and ability yet there seems a tremendous number of cases of people he selected that turn on him. From personal experience I would forgive him for hiring people that do not work out but how many times has someone appointed a general that commits treason to being Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff? Can you write this off as a one-off in the sense that anyone can make a mistake in hiring or does the large number of cases worry you about his judgement? If he is re-elect president will he make the same mistakes again? If not what makes you think it will change?

 

Fat chance, Steve. Trump is the crook, not Milley. Milley is an true American Patriot who has prove himself in battle and served his country well. Bone Spurs Trump is a rich brat sissy and not even in the same league as Miley.
