Trump aides aim to build GOP opposition to Afghan refugees

My son played Baseball at ECR High school in LA with a kid whose parents immigrated here as refugees from the Russian occupation in Afghanistan. They were a great family who were smart, successful and a great addition to our nation. Several others from Afghanistan are also living in the Los Angeles area and around the country. I have never heard anything negative about these fine people. They will no doubt form a welcoming legion for their fellow countrymen coming here as refugees from the mess we created over there. Hopefully these thousands of refugees who put their asses on the line to help our soldiers survive over there will thrive here in the land of the free. Nice to see that even after getting ousted from power, Trump and his little Joseph Mengele, Steven Miller are working hard to screw them over any way they can. Miller, whose family came here as refugees in the 1960s is one of the biggest racist scumbags in the country. What rock did Trump dig this a$$hole out from under.

 

My view is simple. That we should take interpreters, and those that helped our army and are in danger because of that. We should then assist general Afghanistanis to stay in Afghanistan and help rebuild their country.

A little selective intake of immigrants every year is a great thing, but bear in mind, by hand picking the best, this also drains the country in question of talented human resources. There are common sense exceptions to this, of course.

I suspect the days of massive of massive immigrant influx to the West are over.

 

Don’t worry Fatback, the average Afghani immigrant here in America is 10 times smarter and more resourceful than the legions of idiots who travel by bus around the country to Trump rallys year round even after he lost. They will end up paying for these guys bus tickets, baloney sandwiches, cheap beer and ammo with the taxes they pay and generate.

Anyone that's homeless in todays job market is so either by their own choice or because of drug or alcohol addiction. There are more jobs going wanting to be filled than at anytime in our nations history. A t least 2 states Mass and Pa. have had to activate the national guard to get school bus drivers

The million or so legal immigrants we admit every year. Just last year I took a Liberian friend to his naturalization ceremony in New Haven.

The post I responded to was not restricted to Afghans effected by the war. We have an obligation to help them after their country was destroyed in our failed effort, but we have no obligation to millions of immigrants coming here illegally.

What exactly is “their ilk”. Do you have any evidence that refugees from Afghanistan have committed any rapes in Sweden and if so, how many Afghanis and how many rapes. Any stats on that?
