That sheds some light on this matter! The way some of the righties were framing this is he told his subordinates to "go around" the President. How is it treason if he told them to follow the procedures as written? They will spin anything to make Orange Jesus sound not only infallible but a dang "victim" of a witch hunt. He is a witch/warlock and there is more than enough proof of that.

I shudder to think what Loose Cannon would have done. And, have you noticed that every single time we talk about anything they are always shouting "that's in the past!" but they give him as much whine time as possible. It's been almost a year since he was fired. Most people (he's not a person. He's a monster) just look for new jobs. They don't send weekly memos commenting on what their successor is screwing up and convincing other low IQ elected officials to create laws that people can't be banned from social media for dissenting opinions, taking away women's rights in TX and threatening to withhold school board members' paychecks. Everything he is does is chaos and destruction. EVERYTHING.

I'm not partisan. For me, it's a simple equation.

Was the action right or was it wrong?
Was the action legal or illegal?
Was the action moral or immoral?

Right is right, wrong is wrong, none of that is based on political (or no) party, gender, race, sexual preference(s), etc.

I am absolutely STUNNED they are glossing over the Capitol officers' deaths and him releasing 5,000 Taliban members to take over Afghanistan. That's unconsciousable. And, they even rationalize Gaetz's connection and probably complicity in human trafficking. That's DISGUSTING. How do they look at themselves?

I am thoroughly disgusted by some our fellow Americans. And, the craziest part is Trump detests them (Howard Stern said and some of his former employees said it). I don't believe Jesus Christ had this much hero worship. It's beyond explainable. It's revolting.

Milley merely pointed out protocol. The order for a nuclear strike is issued by the President to the Secretary of Defense (Trump didn't bother to fill this position), the National Security Adviser (Trump left that position blank too), and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, Gen. Mark Milley.

Milley called this meeting to make sure that senior military officials knew not to execute an order issued by an "acting" head. They would have carried out the order if it was issued and confirmed by Milley.

Mark Esper, Secretary of Defense at the time (he resigned 10/20), was aware that China was getting antsy and contemplating a preemptive strike against us due to the consumption of faulty intelligence. Esper made Milley aware of his concerns. It was Milley's job to smooth things over with his Chinese counterpart. Thank God he averted a nuclear war.

Senior member of the administration were very concerned about Trump's erratic behavior after he lost the election. They were very afraid that Trump would launch a nuclear strike against China in a desperate attempt to retain the Presidency.

 

You 'hate to say it,' and then proceed to say it. There is no doubt about the depth of your unwillingness to do something because you 'hate to do' it. Exactly how do you connect Pelosi to what happened on Jan 6?

Are you encouraging generals to undermine the President? Trump's war with China was about economics. What Milley did was traitorous. Trump was fairly elected by the people.

 

Let Milley's traitorous actions be the future precedence for generals.

 

We do know what he did. Other than take on China economically Trump did nothing militarily to China. Milley should be hanged for treason. It was not his place to speak to China. If he had real concerns he should have taken it up the chain of command as all military personnel are instructed to do.

All calls are recorded and listened to live by at least 15 people: military, government, CIA and intelligence officials.

You want to hang him because he didn't tell Trump that the Chinese were afraid he had gone nuts?

Milley is not a diplomat and if he told China he'd warn them of any upcoming attack by the US and his call was monitored he should have been arrested on the spot for treason. If the conversations were recorded I believe the public has a right to hear them. Generals should never undermine the president unless there is a consensous by those higher up in Milley's chain of command. Patton was relieved of his command for ignoring his chain of command and acting on his own.

Warning a nation of a strike is a common thing.

We did it with Russia in Syria, we did it with Pakistan when we were hitting the Taliban with drones.

It's to avoid unnecessary deaths when the target is a building.

Do you really want to hear a senior Chinese military official worry that the US is out of control because Trump is contesting the election and that he is afraid he will launch an attack on his country to stay in power?

Who were these other people who warned countries of our upcoming attack? Did they unilaterally take it upon themselves to warn these countries? Please be more specific with your claims.

Treason is when a general acts against the interests of his country.

There can be no treason when the POTUS is crazy, trample de Constitution and tries to stage a coup.
