Trump Calls Allies to Demand Gen. Mark Milley Be ‘Arrested’ for ‘Treason’

He's a hero to the Left that has put its TDS before our country and Constitution.

It was a surprise and certainly an unwelcome one, but as the old saying goes: Rumors of our demise were greatly exaggerated. The event is over, it's been over for 8 months now. The comparisons to Pearl Harbor and 9/11, both distasteful and utterly out of scale with what actually happened.

It's these fantasies that will have people afraid of things that don't exist, and it's these fantasies that are in hundreds of Roman leagues of the means to kill us all.

 

Warning an enemy of a possible attack by the US is not going agains the interest of ones country? This has been done several times by the US but not by a general. The US will warn countries of an imminent attack in the hopes the country stops doing whatever prompted a reason to attack. Are you saying the attack the general warned China of was imminent?

 

He told his people to tell him first. He didn't tell anybody to obey only him. He told the Chinese that he would not let insane orders go ahead without informing them, which would prevent the Chinese doing a pre-emptive strike.

If Milley suffers any repercussions that will place all of us a lot closer to nuclear war than we have been in quite a while, since it informs our enemies that insane orders will be obeyed without question and a pre-emptive strike is thus a viable possibility. This is something that has not even been contemplated since at least the end of the Cold War and probably even further back than that.

Like I say, I think what a lot of Republicans actively and sincerely WANT is the End of the World, what with the Rapture being a big part of their future plans anyway.

 

The Chinese might very well have seen it as being so. What Trump was doing on Jan 6 was literally insane. Are you disputing that?

I'll substitute the word insane for crazy and yes it was a crazy thing to do but still did not give a general permission to go above his superiors and warn China. If there was an imminent attack in progress, which there never was, it is not the responsibility of a general to give the warning.

I agree with breaking the rules and disobeying authority when it is the morally right thing to do, yes. Absolutely. What is wrong about taking precautionary steps to prevent a possible nuclear war?? This is a stupid "us against them" thing. If it was someone who liberals thought went behind Biden's back to possibly prevent a nuclear war because people thought Biden had gone insane, you would be cheering, calling the general an American hero, and calling for Biden's resignation. Milley had no authority to call China to warn them either. That authority comes from either the president or the Secretary of Defense of which neither authorized it. Providing aid and support to our enemies is treason.

 

Trump doesn't care about anything but Trump. I can't believe so many conservatives have fallen for his garbage. I voted for him the first time. I realized soon afterwards what a shitty president he was. I continued to support him for a while, but he just got worse and worse. And yet he got more and more support from "conservatives", when most conservatives couldn't stand him in the primaries of his first campaign. I can't understand for the life of me how so many conservatives have fallen for a narcissistic pop star. Hell, I can't believe I fell for him at first. Luckily I woke up to his garbage. Seems most "conservatives" are still entranced.

And like I said, you are right, I don't give a damn about law, or protocol when potential nuclear war is on the line. Common sense? I would think setting up back channels to stop a nuclear war is very much common sense. I don't care what country it is, starting a nuclear war is as evil as you can get. If the general thought there was even the tiniest possibility of Trump going off the rails (and he was acting crazier and crazier in that time period), then it is the duty of ANY american in a position to prevent something like that to take action.

Obama hasn't been divorced several times, have a fling with a hooker, wasn't court-ordered to pay back millions stolen with fraudulent charities and schools, has never been caught saying derogatory statements about women, doesn't spread rumors and outright lies, is not racist, is not sexist, doesn't believe the USA only belongs to white people, didn't have to pay somebody to do his homework and take his tests in college, is not a blowhard, does not think he's better than everyone on the planet, does fire people for telling him the truth, isn't a bully. isn't a cry baby when he doesn't get his way, doesn't lie to bilk his own supporters and isn't an all-around @ss.
