So, how do we make it?
What chance do we have considering the state of the world?
The Green Deal? The Apocalypse? WW3? Happily ever after?
What do we do and how do we survive, as asked above?
    You're on.

I'll add another memorable scene from the same movie that raises some interesting questions as well. (it's somewhat quite, so you have to boost the volume of your device):

If we destroy ourselves, I figure it will be due to climate change. I just saw that the earth has lost a portion of its albedo, its ability to reflect solar energy, meaning it absorbs more now. This combined with added greenhouse gas in the atmosphere and oceans threatens a further snowballing of global warming. Multiple regions are seeing unprecedented weather and climate shifts as a result, especially rapid loss of polar ice and droughts elsewhere. Rainforest destruction is also playing a role in the latter. We have to remember that this blue jewel flying through the black expanse of space is our only home in the universe and be serious about keeping it in working order.

Nuclear war seems less likely now by comparison as a threat. It's something no one wants to engage in and, unlike climate change, it's not something that has to be actively combated; it's just something we have to continue to choose not to do, which seems simple enough. M.A.D. was wonderfully portrayed in The Day The Earth Stood Still as a specific threat to our continued survival, in that case forbidding any kind of warfare. As far as nuclear powers are concerned, we're living it now. No nuclear power wants to go to hot war against another.

No plague or pandemic is likely to cause our extinction. Some are more deadly than others, but so far none has been so effective that an entire animal species has been wiped out by it, as far as we know anyway. They can cause a lot of death and misery, but probably not extinction. A plague striking crops would probably be worse, but again it's not likely to destroy enough to bring about any kind of extinction.

E.T.s would likely have no interest in destroying us, assuming they could even get a weapon here to use on us in the first place. Most E.T.s, if they're even similar to us, are likely not even aware of us yet, though, since radio signals haven't gone all that far yet and most other star systems aren't aligned such that they could observe earth transiting the sun, making it hard for them to spot biosignatures.

Society worldwide will eventually collapse in famine, and more wars over resources.

That is indeed an excellent question........

I am of the belief that what is happening now is NOT the full fledged Mark of the Beast as was shown to near death experiencer Mr. Dannion Brinkley and / or the Apostle John on the Isle of Patmos........
    but.....

it is almost like an attempt by Stanley Milgram Lucifer Satan to set in motions something very like the full fledged mark of the beast years or even decades before the real one is here.........

So..... I believe that the massive depopulation of the earth explained by Goliath Brain Gill Gates will NOT happen over the next decade... but instead will be delayed and delayed and delayed........

The Gifted Kat Kerr says that humanity is free to delay the real mark of the beast by as much as a century or so...... no kidding.......

I think that she is correct.......

but it is necessary for us to realize that together we really can rival Goliath Brain Bill Gates.......

IF THE MAJORITY OF SIXTEEN MILLION LATTER DAY SAINTS CAN BE INSPIRED TO RISE UP AGAINST GOLIATH BRAIN BILL GATES.... he would have a serious problem........

I could be wrong... I often am.... but it sure looks to me as if Latter day Saints are all set up to play the role of AMBASSADORS between nine point three million Israelis with most of the rest of the world...... all nations where Latter day Saints are free to work and spread the Gospel of the Kingdom of G-d.......

...... I find that Latter day Saints are some of the most intellectual and most humorous Christians..... so... I am sure that they will respond wisely to this challenge that I am putting in front of the local New Glasgow ward (church) of the Latter day Saints.......... because I have made some friends there.......

..... "A CHALLENGE FOR THE NEW GLASGOW WARD OF THE LDS! "

Mr. James Malloy left County Tipperary in Ireland in 1791....... Mr. Peter Smith / Schmidt landed in Country Harbour after Napoleon's armies were defeated.......
Some of my ancestors were Masons from Dixie who fled to Nova Scotia at the time of the American Revolutionary War.......

Climate change could impact resources, but I dunno. Maybe if the global population gets high enough.

Near death experiencer and former Atheist Mellen Benedict was shown that climate change would be largely dealt with by around 2035..... but not through a massive depopulation as Goliath Brain Bill Gates has postulated.........

    Wgabrie has a theory that AboveAlpha = Mr. Robert J. O'Neill ....

I bought the audio version of "The Operator" by Robert J. O'Neill... wow!!!!

I bought the Audio version of The Operator and I listened to the first nine chapters... and yes.....
@wgabrie 's theory could well be correct.......
    that could well be him!

    As you can guess.....
I think that he is winning hands down........

Was AboveAlpha one of the ones to meet with President Trump in 2014 or 2015?

    This is logical......
climate change could well set in motion a series of events that could lead to WWIII ..... but.....
in my opinion a dogmatic and overly simplistic understanding of a Carbon Tax is in some ways even more dangerous......
because it has put us on a collision course toward a Civil War in the USA and Canada right now........ and the economic part of WWIII right now....... no kidding..... I believe that we are now in the economic part of WWIII......
and China plus BigPharma control our BigMedia!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    P. M. Justin Trudeau is obeying Goliath Brain Bill Gates rather obsequiously...... and this has Canada in a state somewhat like P.M. Pierre E. Trudeau faced when Quebec wanted to separate and form a separate nation.......

    P. M. Justin Trudeau's policies have ten percent or more of Albertans ready to form a separate nation.....
before the Spring of 2022.... he could well push Albertans to the place where the majority of Albertans want to separate from Canada......

Canada faces wave of terminations as workplace vaccine mandates take effect: Lawyer

All of this sets up options that I believe Mr. Robert J. O'Neill would find to be interesting.......

Is Alberta probably going to separate from Canada?

    Why?

World population growth has flat lined, advances in agricultural science are promising five fold (or more) increases in food production for the same amount of land, the number of people living in poverty decreases every year while global living and health standards around the world are rising and the % of people being displaced or killed by wars is at the lowest levels in recorded history. These are all facts.

So again, why so certain it will happen? Could it happen? Possibly. But the progress being made as described above clearly indicates its a lot less likely to happen now that it was last century - and it didn't happen then either.

Yes, Dennis. It was a guess. AboveAlpha implied to be the one who shot Osama bin Laden and we all know who really did kill Osama bin Laden. Robert O'Neill. :)

    Wow!!!!!!!

I listened to nine chapters of Mr. Robert J. O'Neill's book and I have to admit that many of the statements by AboveAlpha reminded me of portions of his book, "The Operator."

Now that I have this detail I may get back into that book. I got kind of distracted with all that has been going on online lately. I kind of feel that sixty to ninety percent of the population of this third rock are in far, far, far, far more danger than they tend to realize that they are in.

In spite of all of my many, many, many flaws..... I would give credit to Mr. Bill Gates for building on top of the Al Gore Carbon Tax idea..... what could be termed a "Unified Field Theory of Modern World Problems".....
and I also have used that phrase... but in a very different context and long term goal.

Is a Unified Theory of Modern World Problems even possible?

I voted that many will make it, but a few won't. I say that because I think most people will be able to handle ET contact, but a few won't.

Just like that, I think most people will survive the COVID pandemic, but a few won't. I think COVID is the Agenda 21 meant to thin the population, and it was provided by nature/accident so nobody has to wrestle with their conscience.

There are some supply-chain issues that need to be solved, and pollution problems that need to be solved, but I think if we can think about these problems then someone will eventually come up with a plan to solve them.

Actually, I think we're in a pretty good position right now to achieve a good future.

No, at least a simple majority of Americans will not be able to deal with that, because their false religious ideology is predicated on humans/Earth being unique in the universe.

Once you destroy that, you rip asunder the foundation for their belief system.

Oh, my, whatever lead you to that conclusion?

Could it be that as of October 8, the, um, "lethality" (snicker) of STUPID-19 is only 0.21% of the population?

By contrast, the death rate for Spanish Flu was 0.64%, making it 3x as deadly as STUPID-19.

    Thin the population?

Of what? The elderly, the infirm, those with multiple underlying health conditions who are a drain on resources?

Aside from their Obamaphone or Consumer Cellular phone services, and cable TV and medical resources, what exactly do the elderly consume?

Oh, well I think most will be able to take the news of ET contact without taking their life, after clearing that hurdle, the rest is easy. I think.
I got my vaccine. It's up to everyone else to get theirs or get nastily sick. Their choice.
Although Coronavirus has thinned the elderly here, the real effect of this virus has been to thin in the third world nations where they are too poor to get the vaccine for their people.

It's a mercy killing IMO. They would be breeding in large numbers like the rats at the water front. And they would literally be starving to death and that kind of death takes weeks or months. Compared to a few days to 2 weeks max of Coronavirus.

On the other side of the equation I have read that the nation of India used Ivermectin in the city of Delhi and saved around ninety seven percent of those who caught Covid 19.

And those are all great signs that we COULD survive .. and survive quite well.

Unfortunately it doesn't factor in the terrible decline in culture/social health. The advances mentioned will only benefit societies which are still fit and well, and prepared to put those boons to work for them.
