Six months, you must have been really bad. You might teach squirrels. I don’t really think squirrels are that smart. I think it is mostly dig and hope.

There are several apps to identify living things. My husband used an app to identify mushrooms in our yard. Highly poisonous!

Hey there bar mates! I've been absent for a bit. We had an extremely rough summer.

I'm dipping my toe back in the PF waters.

Good news - I quit all vaping in early July. I am now 100% nicotine free. (I switched from smoking to vaping in late 2012.)

Smart enough to get away with mischief.Maybe not quite as much as
Chipmunks. And nowhere near as much as Pols.Somewhere's in-between.

I've quit smoking three times now, latest round is 5 years. But there are some days.....

Good on ya. There are better things to do with your time and money. :)

I think it'll stick for me this time. Last time I quit it lasted four years. My ex told me he loved his ex-wife and was leaving me. That first pack of "**** you," cigarettes cost me 21 more years of nicotine "fun."

But, yes, there are some days, and always will be.

20211007_064511.jpg This poor thing got caught in a spider web and my wife found her on our porch. We had it in a box and nursed it for two days. We fed her sugar water. Poor thing would flap her wings and barely get off the ground. But happy news!!!! My daughter just went to check on her and she flew into a nearby tree. I am sooo glad.

    Very nice.

We had a struggling pigeon for several days. I knew he was having issues when he let me pet him. I made sure he had water and birdseed, and he held on. After about three days, we watched him spend a lot of time trying to get from the patio to our high-top table, and the day after that he made it to the roof.

Poor thing was dead in our pool the next morning.

I put him in our composter, so he's now fueling my tomatoes.

The circle of life keeps going round-n-round.

I really want someone in person to say, “Those mushrooms are safe.” Maybe someone with a biology or botany degree.

What helped me was knowing that give in cigarette would undo all the past denying. To not go through quitting again has kept me smoke free. That was a long time ago.

Obviously mushroom are weird. In the right conditions they
grow as fast or faster than wildfires. Not a fortnight but almost
overnight.Earlier this week I cut the back lawn. And there were a few
white mushrooms that were just like sold in the Grocery.
I was stunned.Usually wild white mushrooms are slightly different
    than store packaged white mushroom.
I remember a good *Thriller where a boy purchased a mushroom
growing kit.In no time those mushrooms { required a dark spot in
the Family basement } were very big.Turned out them mushrooms
were an alien life force. You know like today's Democrats.

I bring this up every time someone talks about their struggle
    to quit smoking.The Hilarious Jerry Lewis film - Cracking Up - { 1983 }
    Lewis is struggling with his cig addiction { he was a 5 pack a day smoker }
and gets zany as usual. However enter Dick Butkus as an Anti-smoking Enforcer.
Lewis and Butkus are at the water cooler making small talk.
Lewis was in the hallway waiting to see his psychiatrist about his many
problems. His Cigarette addiction being one of many.
So Butkus casually asks at the water cooler how many packs a day
he smokes. And Lewis casually says 5 packs.
Butkus goes off.Like someone tossed a firecracker inside his pants.
He blows his stack. Can't believe what he heard.
Five Packs. You smoke Five packs a day. Then really gets loud.
What are you ... Some kind of Nut !

So be honest.Admit.That it was merely a visit by yer relatives.
a Surprise visit.Sometimes it's normal to get the two confused.
An Alien nightmare or a casual visit from one's relatives.

Those kinda stories make my day.A Hummingbird can really travel.
Sometimes folk don't realize how far lightweight species with wings
can go.Like the Monarch butterfly travelling from Canada to northern
    mexico.

I tink that in 2021 United States ... the worry over safe mushrooms has been
    usurped.Like Big Time.
Therefore a needed distraction is warranted.
This is mostly a guy thing.
Name the # 2 soldier pin-up Hollywood starlet during WW II.
    A hint ... No it'wasn't Marie Dressler.I don't care what Wallace Berry
insisted. And when Wallace Berry made demands he usually got 'em.

Don't confuse my life with your life.. Not all of my relatives act like aliens, well not many.

And they have an attitude like Napoleon. I have to smile the way they are so terroritorial and protective of their feeder. They are always a favorite. I got to close to the feeder one day and the little bird let me know to move away..it was funny. He was like a small fighter plane..lol.

This is one of the white oak or gray rat snakes that hang out in the pecan and oak trees. They are harmless but when you accidentally
walk up on one they do give you a start...lol.
