Libertarians for Trump - LewRockwell LewRockwell.com

Aside from foreign policy, ask any libertarian why they support Donald Trump and they'll say it's because of his pro LGBT ideology and actions.

    Lil Mike, tell em....

Some Libertarians supporting him, doesn't make HIM a Libertarian. Is Trump a biker? Some bikers support him. Is Biden LGBT? Some LGBT support him.

I can't believe I'm actually having to post this, but here I am.....

@Lil Mike If the R party splits, both will lose.

If the R party doesn’t split, but it nominates Trump, it will lose. Independents voted for Trump by a narrow margin in 2016, but they voted heavily against him in 2020. Independents are about 30% of the electorate, and Republicans cannot win without them. I strongly doubt that those Independents will go back to Trump in enough numbers for him to win.

So, unless the Republicans want to assure 4-8 more years of a Democratic president, they have to nominate someone who is likable, someone with good policy positions, and someone other than Trump.

Someone who is likeable? That would immediately eliminate Trump, DeSantis, Pompeo and Abbott. Maybe Haley would have a chance.

That's interesting, I didn't know Trump said that. I'm guessing you can provide a source?

Well yeah, that's my point and why I posted this thread. Jonah Goldberg wants to split the Republican Party to insure it loses. That's why he and the other Never Trumpers supported third party candidates in 2016 and supported Joe Biden in 2020. The problem is, as he realized, is that he can't pull the same Joe Biden trick again, so he is looking for a more permanent solution to destroy the GOP; a counter party.

I agree that if Trump runs in 2024 and wins the nomination, the Republicans lose since, what has changed since 2020 to allow him to win? But I think no matter who the GOP runs, it will still lose. The time for the GOP being competitive at the national level for president is probably in the past.

You don't understand: We have to vote for stomp to the right nut, or that's just a vote for stomp the left nut!!!!
You can't just vote for cake and ice cream instead of stomp the right nut! You just want stomp the left nut to win!

You just trying to get me to derail your thread?

You brought it up. You're trying to derail the thread. It doesn't have anything to do with the article in the OP.

He wrote a book called Liberal Fascism years ago, and in an ironic twist, decided to join them.

If the Republicans are worried about a split in the party, why don’t they ditch the ****ing idiot dividing the party and get an actual leader that can unify the party?

It will take them from the Republicans. That's good. The present day GOP needs to cease entirely. It's let itself by hijacked by anti-Americans

That's the thing, there isn't any. The Republicans are bankrupt and Trump has been the one spending their credibility like water

nope, I’ve done my best to stop following politicians. I’ve become disgusted with all of them. I’m hoping it will be someone I’ve never heard of, that comes in with fresh ideas instead of the same BS that’s been tearing us apart for decades.

I’ve voted Republican ever since I’ve been old enough to vote. But Trump was such a disappointment that I sat out the last election because I found both candidates equally repulsive. I don’t like not voting though, so next time I will write someone in if I have to. I will certainly never vote for Trump or Biden.

It blows my mind how Trump has perverted the Republican Party, and how Republicans have bowed down to him. He was a democrat before he decided to be a Republican. Jesus, he has you guys wrapped around his finger.

Trump is obviously far more credible that any other Republican. Hence your post. ;-)

Trump won in 2016 with a moderate Democrat platform.
Which should tell just how repulsive the RP establishment is to the Republican/Independent voter base.
