Maybe you forgot what the topic was about. Need help ? It’s not an approved drug for use in treating covid. There are a plethora of drugs that are approved for use of something’s and not others.

We know for a fact, that ivermectin can cause harm when not prescribed and used correctly. I still don’t get your point. Is this access to ivermectin before or after you’re diagnosed with covid, ot do you want it prescribed when ever someone thinks they might have a fever ?

 

We also know for a fact it is extremely effective in keeping people out of the hospital.

Not sure what you mean. It, like any prescription drug should be given under supervision. Now, you buy it for cattle then you decide without being tested for covid ? Not sure what your point is.

Good point, I should be able to have my dr answer that. I'm not a dr so I don't have a strong opinion but this much I know:
1. People refer to it as a "cattle treatment" for no other reason than to mock those that believe in its efficacy
2. There is ample anecdotal evidence to support the notion that it could be effective in treating the symptoms of covid. IF the risk of side effects is low (again - I'm NOT a dr, I don't know about side effect risk) then why not prescribe it to people as a possible treatment.
3. No one (that I've heard) is recommending people take it as a preventative measure. If aren't cv positive there is no reason to take it.

Frankly, I can't believe that this is a political issue. Other countries are using invermectin as a treatment and they appear to be having success. It may not be a silver bullet but it just might keep some % of covid infections out of our hospitals. And thats a good thing.

Second, I hope everyone is smart enough not to do anything based upon anecdotal evidence ALONE. That’s scary.

All drugs can be unsafe, even no script drugs if not taken properly. Maybe you are on a blood thinner and ivermectin reacts dangerously to that ? Is that the kind of stuff a non doctor should be recommending , or even a doctor without that patient ?

 

There are a bunch of trials out there. Go on line and find them. If you can signup for one that offers you ivermectin and you’re willing to sign your life away, go for it. No one is legally stopping you.

They are real people who come down or not with covid..f The evidence is there, it works. Show us how 95% of the people given ivermectin are cured of covid …..

Anecdotes are NOT a science! Other countries are NOT currently using ivermectin. There are still some RCTs being conducted (random control tests) but bloody few of the as trial after trial has shown little to no effect
