Colin Kaepernick is proof institutional racism is dead

A man who wears Fidel Castro shirts, socks with pics of pigs dressed as police officers, attacks powerful institutions 24/7 openly without fear and even defends terrorists when they are killed.

He’s a black man in america.

Is he lynched, jailed or made to disappear? On the contrary, he is hailed as a hero by millions and even gets massive endorsements from corporate america.

Now how would kaper fare if he did this in cuba, china, africa, venezuela or middle east? Places he seems to be a fan of? most likely, he would disppear or even have his head cut off.

Would he be making millions in Europe? Where? France? UK? Spain? Norway, Sweden?

How would Kaper have fared 50 years ago?

It’s ironic, the man who is supposed to be a champion against institutional racism is in fact the proof that it is no longer a ‘thing’

Remarkable. If i were a professor teaching history of slavery, racism and America’s journey to rectify past sins, Colin Kapernick would be the final lesson of the semester, or final chapter. I would use him as the proof that America has left institutional racism behind, a thing of the past. That America will allow a man like this to become so powerful today and i would contrast it to how a man like kaper would’ve fared in 1800s, early 1900s and even 80s…. I would also contrast it to how he would fare in other countries. My final words of wisdom for the class would be ‘America is the least racist country in the world, what a great country this is.

btw, recently there was news that many whites are applying as minorities to colleges, jobs.... why is that? seems there is a lot of privilege in non-white groups today.

Well, at least this thread is proof strawman arguments are alive and strong about institutional racism.

 

We fought a bloody Civil War to end slavery in the U.S. Now, we profit off of slavery again, only our new slaves are Chinese. Hidden from our view, they toil for us, with suicide nets outside their factories. We love our cheap goods, and so we don't care. Our corporations, media, and politicians are all bought off, and so they don't object, don't care, and remain silent.

It's just a different method of slavery that we are all a part of.

Kudos to Enes Kanter for his honesty and courage to tell the truth.

 

Willing to criticize slave labor in China, but won't look at US prisons and how the work they do there amounts to modern slavery.

 

In prison, getting out of your cell and working is a privilege. It helps pass the time and gives inmates a little money on the books.

You know I was arguing with someone with someone the other day and they said conservative don’t have a racist bone in their body. Unless you can point to any particular racist bone from a conservative member here, I'll just have to agree with you that there's nothing worth arguing about. The very nature of what we conservatives believe in, our ideologies and our religious morals makes it quite tough to see how any of us can have a racist bone in our body(s). Now, there may be some racist conservative out there, but if so, he or she would probably be nothing more than a RINO or a failed member of the defunct Lincoln Project for example.

 

It costs us millions to take care of them. Buildings, security staff, meals, medical care, TV's, education, lawyers. No one forces them to labor. They volunteer for it because they want to do it to pass the time, maybe learn a skill for when they get out. I've worked in a jail. I know.

Their is no equivalence between Chinese workers and prisoners in U.S. jails and prisons. Why did you deflect like that?

Because the Chinese government spends millions taking care of their workers, buildings, security staff, meals, medical care, TV, education, lawyers, etc. And yet their workers may be more free than one of the US's prisoners. It's very hard to think the US has escaped slavery when the communists are doing it better than us.
