Not the responsibility of the government to provide or mandate.

Don't like your work arrangement or benefits, get a new job.

Government is a disease masquerading as it's own cure.

The left hasn't learned that lesson yet.

Hopefully not at all. Multiple TRILLIONS of dollars of nothing more than pure wealth redistribution. I thought I lived in a capitalist country that believes in rugged individualism. I guess with this bill, we're about to find out. And I'm probably even more concerned with what's HIDDEN within the multiple thousands of pages of amendments and etc that are buried in it that not one single person on the planet can tell you what's there.

100% of the voters, including you, me, and every member of Congress, have no idea what's in it. I'm openly opposed to what I know is it it, as it's not my responsibility to pay for your kids daycare or community college, or even all the stuff I'm ALREADY paying for OPKs, but I'm frankly as worried if not moreso about what the f**k is in there that nobody knows about. We desperately need a "Single Subject" rule, if not an actual Amendment, as these bills with multiple thousands of pages (not to mention spending multiple TRILLIONS of our kids and grandkids money) have become the norm. And who knows what in them? Nobody, because as Queen Pelosi once said, "We've got to pass it to see what's in it!"

Well, no, we don't. In fact, it's completely irresponsible to do so, and if we had honest politicians these sorts of bills would fail 100-0 in the Senate and 435-0 in the House.

You do know this bill contains massive tax cuts for "evil rich people", right?

Exactly that. I had to laugh last night as I saw a Dem Congresscritter on the news whining about SALT deductions because people were leaving his state. Hey, dumbass, that was one of the points of changing those laws in the first place! That, and to have people showing up at their State Capitals with pitchforks after they REALLY realized how much taxes their States are taking from them. My state has no income tax and a balanced budged amendment they must adhere to. In addition, even in times like these where property values are going up 50% a year (or more), the most they can increase property taxes, may they be damned to hell in the first place, is by 3%.

We survive. We THRIVE! We don't even NEED that stupid infrastructure law, as we've been taking good care of such things ourselves. Why can't all you high tax States (I'm talking to you, NY, NJ, and CA) do the same?

Oh, and not for nothing, it's hard enough for us to take care of our own family, especially with my disabled ass making $0.00/year, it would be REALLY nice if you would stop putting more and more burdens on us to take care of total strangers families, that would be nice. If I decide to go to Community College, I'll pay the tuition myself, and I suggest that everyone else should do the same.

Now that I'm thinking about it, we should take those "infrastructure funds" and use them to cut sales and property taxes for residents. We need that far more than we need unnecessary "infrastructure" just because other people are paying for it. I think I'll give ol' Ron a call and see what he thinks...

You're off topic, he has less than nothing to do with this stupid bill. Of course, you're obsession with him couldn't let you have a thread on this forum go by without bringing him up.

Trump notwithstanding, right now, instead of ADDING trillions of new federal spending, we should be CUTTING trillions (many trillions) from existing government spending. Why does that never occur to you guys?

Its not the role of the fed govt to pass laws collecting monies and spending that income accordingly for the betterment of the country as a whole?

I'd suggest you should be the one reading the Constitution, because I'm pretty sure that's near the start of the document...

People were awakened, before McCarthy put them all to sleep last night...

It's your responsibility to pay your taxes, vote for your representatives, and not to commit crimes... .. that's about it....

BTW, you already pay for public schools, K-12.... I fail to see why 1 or 2 years of pre-K would throw anybody into a frenzy...

I'm pretty sure community college was cut from the final bill, and I'm fine with that.... anything over high school should be on you

I don't think it is or should be my responsibility to fund the spending and pay the bills of other families. I think I should pay my bills, you should pay yours, and they should pay theirs. But we got lost somewhere along the line, and requiring people in Group-A to pay the bills for the people in Group-B, ultimately at the point of a gun, became the "in" thing to do, but it's ridiculous and not at all reasonable. If you want to pay someone else's bills go for it, but you have no right to demand that I do so. Remember, the government has no money other than what it extracts from us. And the real truth of the matter is, they're no longer spending our money, as most of it is simply going to pay interest on bills that the government borrowed to pay for 20, 30, 40 years ago or more. Now they're spending our kids and grandkids money. You do know it has to stop at some point, right? We're well beyond that point, and instead of ADDING to our massively fat government bill, we should be SUBTRACTING from it. And we should be subtracting far more than we're talking about adding. But we've got to stop paying everyone's bills.

If you wish to live out in the sticks and enjoy the peace and quiet it offers, awesome. But don't expect me to assist with the cost of getting you hooked up to high speed Internet, you knew it wasn't there when you moved there, so you made your bed, you sleep in it.

The government helps subsidize just about every industry in this country at some point or another, including (especially) the energy sector.

    Solar provides energy

    Sorry... I can't change that...

Because we shouldn't be paying for K-12 either. THEY'RE NOT MY KIDS!!!! You made 'em, you pay for 'em. End of discussion.

And only unionized companies that build electric cars will benefit from this bill. So much for Building Back relations Better!

And you really think the Democrats lost NJ because the Democrats in Congress and Biden didn't pass the Infrastructure bill or the Safety net bill fast enough? I think they were telling Democrats NO MORE SPENDING!

All you've shown is they don't like Biden at this time. You've shown nothing about Democratic policies.
