Georgia Black Man Charged with Murder Claims He Shot at White Teens in Self-Defense

Completely unsurprising. Who's right and wrong here? The turnabout/so's your old man/whataboutism possibilities are endless:

 

Not enough info yet. Until I hear/read what the evidence is - is there video, is there physical evidence of what he says hit his vehicle, witness testimony - I honestly don't know. My initial reaction is the same, however -- violence is the go-to of the incompetent mind.

 

This guy pulled out a piece while cruising down the road and emptied it into another moving vehicle that contained no firearm or lethal weapons at all. Self-defense my ass. He got his feelings hurt.

 

All I got from the link is the wokie author thinks that because Rittenhouse and Zimmerman were acquitted ALL Blacks must be acquitted too, NO questions asked.... frankly we're more race obsessed now than any time in our history, should work out just fine.

 

Feel the same here. Need a lot more detail than the article gives. Which is almost nil. The article sure does make a big thing about race though. From the last line in it you already know which way that the author thinks a verdict should go.

The person is black and if he's found guilty then the justice system is automatically biased. Who cares about the facts eh? Of course that was kinda obvious from reading the article in general, but the last line pushes it home.

 

Details are still sketchy. They called him names and swerved in front of him and threw objects at his car making him “think” it was a gun? Were they wearing MAGA hats and screaming this is MAGA country too

That’s a whole lot of assumption. Details are not comparable at all to Rittenhouse case because there is no evidence their lives were in danger at all. The car can be a castle if you have no where else to go, like being surrounded by a mob trying to remove you from the vehicle. We have Rittenhouse on video being physically attacked AFTER trying to flee.

Will be curious where it goes.

 

Maybe he was just getting a sandwich at 3am and the bad white dudes assault him with bleach...

 

The fact this case isn’t being covered nationally speaks volumes to the authenticity of the charges. The MSM would be all over this of it wasn’t so sketchy.

 

My first thought was - Who eats at a Taco Bell at 1AM?

My second thought was - Why would an incident that happened in June 2020 not go to trial until 2022??

Based on that article, I certainly think there's as much of a surface self defense claim as other recent cases in the news...

The US justice system is always a crap shoot, so it's no use making predictions...

 

From what I've read he has a good case for self defence or at least manslaughter.

 

Interesting story. If the case is to me as it sounds I would say self defense. Unfortunately the girl in the back seat could have been innocent of the provocation, she could be viewed as an accomplish or at the very least "collateral damage" to a defensive action!

Anyway, as far as Conley (who was in the Truck the victim was in):

There may be other witnesses. Apparently, Luke Harry Conley went back on his "unprovoked story" when other witnesses came forward to call BS and the police confronted him with it.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported it obtained investigative documents from Statesboro police that said Conley told police the shooting was unprovoked, but investigators later found out Conley was seen yelling out of the truck's window before the shooting and that someone in the pickup truck may have thrown a beer can at Wilson's car.

That's an interesting article about the incident in the prior month... good find!

I cannot see any way the details of that incident won't be coming into evidence at the Wilson trial, being so many similarities between the two.......

The plot thickens...

 

Need to see more evidence of what was the threat level hope they have some clear and convincing that has not been reported as everything looks pretty sketchy. He will claim the affirmative defense and the prosecution will have to disprove it.

Without any definitive video evidence of the actual shooting (like in the KR Case), a lot will rest on circumstances and the perceived credibility of any 3rd Party Witnesses (assuming that any credible 3rd Party Witnesses exist)...
"Anybody who saw anything", etc .

 

This should set precedence for all the gang drive by's I'm sure!

Wrong. If the accusation holds, a vehicle is a lethal weapon when they tried to run him off the road.

 

But the passenger killed will open up a whole "Very expensive" set of cases against the shooter, the drivers and anyone else they can blame for the incidence..

 

Was the girl driving or was she just a passenger? You got to be careful when shooting in to a vehicle, there are innocents the driver is the responsible person.. Before this thread gets to stupid, ask yourselves, if a cop discharges his weapon in a crowd and kills innocent bystanders just how is that going to play out

 

Unlike those that have hoplophobia, 2nd Amendment activists are smart enough to want details before drawing conclusions.
