So do you believe Jesse Jackson's mother should have had an abortion?

How would the car detect alcohol?

I believe only the potential mother can decide that, do you think the government should have decided for her?

she chose to have a child, it was her choice - that is what I support

I ask and say that all the time.
Don't like what the govt controlled by bring money are doing. Get rid of big bribe money or vote out all incumbents all the time.

They whine about this alcohol mandate and equate it to seat belt and perhaps air bag mandates.
I showed how in the 1980s insurance companies are the one's who pushed these mandates through as an effort to reduce claim payouts.
And only 1 cared to acknowledge that as fact.

You are correct, we got the gov't we asked for. The gov't only passes laws that are requested by big donors. Most of the time.
The gov't responds to money. Sometimes people if it situation is dire enough.

Yeah, I agree with you. My friend did have to wear an ankle brace as well, but I believe that was just for a year or so to make sure he didn't leave his living quarters--actually didn't have anything to do with his later driving rules to blow into an alcohol detection device. Like you, I hated that seat belt mandate, but I as well have gotten used to automatically putting it on.

When we (1) establish "God" isn't an Imaginary Friend, (2) know God thinks abortion is murder and (3) we hear he/she/it wants us to stop abortion, then it won't be "wrong" for us pressure pregnant women.
What about children not adopted? There are some 100,000+ every year.

    https://www.statista.com/statistics/255375/number-of-children-waiting-to-be-adopted-in-the-united-states/
So, you want to force women to give birth to their rapist's baby. He can use the courts to keep harassing her by getting visitation, even force co-parenting.
Not every child is wanted. Ending abortion would put many more children in orphanages.

How about being opposed to adding to the expense of owning a vehicle for a test easily bypassed?

They're just making the cars harder and harder to fix yourself. Your next car maybe an iPhone on wheels.

Why don't you learn something about Marxism before you automatically associate it with government?

I had covid in a very light form. In fact, in less than a week after I got my positive test, I was on the beach enjoying the water and the sun. I’m up to date on all vaccines except for covid.
So, your meme is nothing but propaganda - absolute majority of all who oppose the vaccines get the mild form of the disease and recover with stronger immunity than those who chose the experimental vaccine.

    Not so for 777,000+ Americans.
There are a number of studies showing vaccines are often better than "natural" immunity. I would give you links if I thought you would read them.

You know, old and sick tend to die. If you have 9 months left and got covid and died, it doesn’t change the fact that you would have die soon without covid anyway.

All those studies did the measurements when the vaccine effect was the strongest. Even CNN admits that the effect of the vaccine starts to vane within weeks after the shot. Weeks! Not months, not years, not decades - WEEKS!

Cite a research that shows vaccine-induced immunity performing better during various time points after vaccination, especially 2-6 months after the jab.

    https://www.cnn.com/2021/11/24/health/covid-19-reinfection-is-rare-severe-disease-rarer/index.html

Why do you feel the urge to defend the most retarded argument ever made that claims that vaccine-induced immunity is better than the product of Mother Nature? This article shows 90% effectiveness 9 months and counting after initial infection. Your Pfizer, Moderna, and other garbage can only dream of being 90% effective 9 months after they were administered.

Yup, it's a business model for car manufacturers. Dealerships primarily make their money from service, not from sales, so the more of a pain in the ass they make their vehicle to work on for the home mechanic the more likely you are to take it to the authorized dealership for ridiculously overpriced repairs. Last year I had to replace the passenger side mirror on one of my trucks, easy 3 bolt procedure and single wire connector that should take 5 minutes as it did in the past. However, due to genius GM engineering they decided that for this year model, same generation, they would make the bottom bolt inaccessible unless you took the door panel completely off all the way down to the door frame. What took 5 minutes to do on last years model of the same generation now takes an hour and is a pain in the ass. There is no engineering reason they did that, they did that because they know folks clip mirrors on large trucks more often than cars and they want to encourage you to bring it back to them to fix so they can charge you $500.

Then you bring in government and insurance companies and they all get to play in cahoots with each other to get more money out of you in the end. Most of this extra "safety" or "eco-friendly" crap is just more stuff that they can mandate that can break causing you to have to shell out more money. How much is this dumb breathalyzer thing going to cost to get repaired at the dealership when it malfunctions preventing you from being able to start your car? When it comes to issues that prevent a car from starting at all the owner tends to be willing to shell out any amount of money because they have no choice.

Yeah, I know. And that whole computerized gimmick is starting to be a pain. Even unrelated components are linked somehow. I had a bad sensor in the passenger door od my 2019 Jetta and the system reported a flat on the back driver side, low oil pressure and check engine.... Nothing about the door itself.

I don't think it's the anti-drinking or anti-smoking crowd that is pushing this crap. It's the nanny state government control freaks who want one more way to control you and tax you for any dissent. I don't drink or smoke and I think it's nonsense.

I don't support the nanny state, and I'm not the only libertarian-conservative Christian in the US. You would be surprised at some of my ideas. If you want to smoke, do drugs, or drink yourself to oblivion, that's your decision. Just don't make me pay to support your idiocy. I figure people who act irresponsibly are easier to compete with for jobs and such as long as the government doesn't force me to bail them out.

Marlboro 19 killed 600k Americans in 2020. Most smokers would probably like for cigarettes to be banned to help them quit. It never happens because it has become the goose providing the golden cash. The government depends on the massive tobacco taxes and they are slowly raising taxes on alcohol in many places.

the longest person to ever have lived was a smoker, that smoked for almost 100 years of her life

    moderation is key

but you know anti-smokers wish they owned the title of the longest living person

I'd never buy a new car anyway, unless I somehow found myself with too much money. And then I could afford to have the system professionally disabled (if I couldn't do it myself).
