Kamala Harris, Michelle Obama are Democrats' top 2024 picks if Biden doesn't run: poll

“The vice president received support from 13% of respondents in The Hill/HarrisX poll despite her historically low approval ratings, according to The Hill.

Former first lady Michelle Obama came in second with backing of 10%.

Receiving support below 10% were a handful of former 2020 hopefuls, including Sens. Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren and Cory Booker; billionaire former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg; businessman Andrew Yang; and Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg.”

Bahahahah that’s the best you got? This is going to be a massacre if the democrats don’t cheat in 2024.

A 28% approval for Harris and she’s a top pick? Shows they’re only race oriented

My personal preferences are not important 3 years away from the next election... too many things can change between now and then. But I have some politicians I see on TV from time to time that seem to make sense to me during a 5 minute segment...

I prefer the people elected to govern actually govern for a while before worrying about their next election.

    I'm goofy that way...

Similarities: If Michell laughed with her mouth open, they would look exactly alike.

Differences: At least Kamala actually laughs. (Though that cackle drives me nuts.)

    Multiple choice question:

    1) Both are phonies
    2) Michell is a phony
    3) Kamala is a phony

If I had to answer your ridiculous question at gunpoint (which is a RW thing), I would say 3.... OTOH, any supporters of/voters for TFG shouldn't be dipping their toe in the "phony" pool...

Also, not sure how you can spell Kamala correctly (still bet you say it wrong), but **** up a simple name like Michelle? Care to comment?

He's still making a lot money off of the rubes, playing a lot of golf, interviewing lawyers for his upcoming court appearances, and ignoring his current wife, so he's right in his happy place..

How many of his picture books did you pre-order, at $75 a pop??

You never made a typo in your life, eh?

P.S. You won't find any or many in my posts.

If you want a serious answer (and I'm highly skeptical about that), this would by my first preference for next POTUS.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chris_Murphy

Check out that resume... both both State House and Senate AND Federal House and Senate... The 2nd time he runs for any seat, he increases his margins (2010 Tea Party year excepted and he still did fine)

Would be 51 in 2024... likely to still have all his marbles

Oxford education.....Foreign Relations and Appropriations committees... Published Author....F rating with NRA... what's not to like?

From September 2017 - #3 ranked D who was being considered (use incognito mode to beat paywall)

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...-15-possible-2020-democratic-nominees-ranked/

Bonus - He's a white male, so that takes 2 arrows out of your quiver....

    My fingers are crossed...

Biden’s already proven that you don’t need to be a woman to govern this country like a giant vagina. Too bad by the time his term is done it won’t matter what the Democrat candidate has between his/her legs, Americans will have grown quite tired of being F’ed.

I liked Carly Fiorina's performance in the first 2016 Republican Presidential Primary debate. She was brilliant, eloquent, had good ideas, and offered up no BS.

Really? I watched a bit of that, before I couldn't any more, and don't remember too many people getting a word in edgewise...

From that large herd of strictly average humans, the only one I can watch today without reaching for the remote is Chris Christie...

You know my policy here, EB. Whenever someone plays Grammar Nazi, their own posts had better be perfect as well. So - the ellipsis: Why are you using it incorrectly? The "..." is only to be used when leaving unimportant or unneeded words/phrases out of a quote. Also, "which is a RW thing" should be "which is an RW thing" as the word immediately following the article "a" is pronounced with a vowel, in this care the "RW" starts with "Ar-double-you". Care to comment?

Geez - why do you guys think a teacher comes here an' posts the way I do? Ya think I wanna deal with grammar perfection online like I haveta at work? I go out of my way to post English INcorrectly here. Don't correct other's grammar unless you want me to correct yours.

Sigh - as far as the OP I'd say that the Dems best bets would be Buttigieg who looks to be the Dems Plan B here, but didn't do so well in the primaries and doesn't have much gravitas. Mmmmmmaybe Stacy Abrams who is a much better speaker and is - well, basically Harris but with more charisma - still lacks experience. Probably the best bet for the Dems would be Andy Beshear. Moderate Dem, seems to be working out pretty well in Kentucky. Biden - whoever runs against him - and I've stated elsewhere who I think should run on the GOP side - would get creamed by anyone except Trump, and even now the way Biden's numbers are falling like Kammalla's skirt, Trump could probably beat him as well - it would just be a much closer race. Kammalla would get eviscerated by ANYone the moment she started speaking and good luck if she runs on her record. Michelle? Not interested in running and likely wouldn't last thru the first debate even if she did.
