Ahmaud Abrey wasn't a victim was he? Sadly, the racism in America is alive and well, and on full display.

Now cancel culture extends to the members of the POT caucus who have the audacity to vote in favor of a bi-partisan infrastructure bill that will improve physical conditions in the country and will be deficit neutral.

Anything to do with race these days is nothing but a scam. Race hustlers have hijacked the Civil rights movement for their own gain. I do not care about it now. People should just ignore or laugh at it.

in china i am as much an illiterate barbarian as any other american,

went back to your original laundry list

enslaving the people (which americans accomplish with debt) perpetuating pandemics (framing common sense infections disease control as "tyranny") deceive nations (by violating treaties and agreements, perpetuating the "american exceptionalism" fantasy) and whatever.

i think i have a better chance of making that better right here, where i can vote, speak the language and can read and write.

Tell tale signals of indoctrination are using the term "Marxist" in reference to American politics. Try to find a new adjective, how about European?

Americans have to take individual responsibility to any enslavement regarding debt. Hey, in China, if they want your kidney they can take it, but you like that kind of tyranny/? Don't impose it here by forcing experimental drugs! America is exceptional.....of course that is why they flood to get in at our borders. No other nation has that problem. I think you would be better off in China. Don't "China" my America!

America has kept Marxism at bay for over a Century. It's purveyors have only, until now used long term stealth tactics. Now the cat is out of the bag and we will hear the term American Marxist more and more. If you like it, wear the uniform!

He using the term marxist in reference to Critical theory in schools.

Max Horkheimer first defined critical theory (German: Kritische Theorie) in his 1937 essay "Traditional and Critical Theory", as a social theory oriented toward critiquing and changing society as a whole, in contrast to traditional theory oriented only toward understanding or explaining it. Wanting to distinguish critical theory as a radical, emancipatory form of Marxist philosophy, .....

So I looked him up...here is a good summation of his philosophy....

As noted, the rejection of Hegelian social philosophy in the inaugural lecture is tied to a broader rejection of metaphysics, which will be discussed in more detail in §2.2. At the root of the rejection of “transfiguration,” however, is a very basic point. No social philosophy that denies the singular import of suffering, and the corresponding desire to overcome that suffering, can properly grasp human social reality.

Now one can say that this was a motivation for Marx or even Adam Smith, hell this has been a motivation for religions across the ages. So again, the mere mention of Marx has now become a scarlet letter. Its a shame because Marx was actually quite a brilliant thinker and did give a damn about the average person.

i reread vonnegut's cats cradle recently i like his style a lot, which might be why i'm enjoying doerr's "cloud cuckoo land" so much.

it has been about 20 years since i last read hucklemerry finn. i remember reading it between watches while walking on a treadmill aboard the usns wyman, surveying the mediterranean near the gulf of sidra. a career at sea was a great opportunity to read .

i have never read "east of eden," which i should put on my "to do" list.

Of course he was....the left is nefarious. What if I told you I have a first edition copy of Joshua Nkrumahs "Handbook of Revolutionary Warfare"? It has subliminally influenced my mind since the day I first read it in Dar es Salaam in 82.

I too love Steinbeck and think of him every time I drive up 101 through the Salinas valley. The book I remember the most was "East of Eden". In my mind, that book was a masterpiece of family literature. You might like Pat Conroy too, very similar types of authors and subjects. Prince of Tides is right there with East of Eden as one of the greatest books I have ever read....From Here to Eternity....War and Peace...the Magus....Tale of Two Cities....A Confederacy of Dunces....Seawolf....Count of Monte Cristo....I forget them all. I love books and as one of my favorite sayings goes...read books and you live a thousand lives, read none and you are alone with yours.

so ,many i still need to read. i feel like burgess meredith in that twilight zone episode where he is the last person in the world, and breaks his reading glasses on the library steps.

confederacy of dunces is way beyond "great american novel." i once thought of pitching a tour of the ignatius j. reilley locations but while scouting the french quarter i never got out of the bar.

the whole apocryphal story of toole's mother bringing the manuscript (on big chief lined tablets) to percy walker after toole's suicide is great as well.

The vast majority of public school teachers just like most people using this site have absolutely no clue as to exactly what critical race theory is all about and could care even less.

The Marxist lies, show trials, and wholesale violation of rights reflects accurate labeling. And how bad has this gotten? Yale Law School is supposed to be one of the top Law Schools in the country but, they are currently engaged in such violative behavior that it's difficult to believe that they could be this far off normative rights respecting behavior.

Students suing Yale Law show America’s elites have a low opinion of minorities.

“What can you say about an institution that is willing to break faith with its members and engage in blackmail and the subornation of false statements to wage a political vendetta? Sadly, you’d have to say that it’s pretty typical these days.”
    She engaged in "bad-thought".

And what if you are a POC who will not jump into the feeding frenzy designed to tear this professor apart for her "wrong-think"?
Holy Smokes! What is wrong with these people? How have they so otherized folks with different opinions? And how in the world do they still have a position at a US University?

Looks like they view "Chua" as in the "oppressor" class and themselves in the "virtuous victim" group and therefore BAMN is directed at this professor. CRT is full of this kind of crap.

Separatists And America Haters Object: ‘Melting pot’ charter under attack.

“A Boston-area charter school is in trouble with state regulators because it focuses on ‘the fundamental ideals of our American Culture’ and embraces ‘the melting pot theory by highlighting our citizens’ and students’ commonality, not their differences,’ writes Molly Ball in Time. New state standards require cultural responsiveness.”

Boston may want to quit electing folks that hate them.
So, very good school with a wide following of satisfactory parents enjoying above average results.

Enter Massachusetts department of elementary and secondary education (DESE).
And they wonder why people view them as ass wipes.
    They astro-turfed the "feed-back".
