Your problem is that you cannot accept that he killed the human waste child rapist in self-defense. If he killed him in cold blood, and then he was pursued by people who he then shot, then the trial would have turned out very differently. The other guy who was not killed could have legitimately claimed 'citizens arrest.' I think that it's entirely possible that the other two guys had it in their mind that Kyle was a dangerous active shooter who was randomly killing people, after hearing random people saying "GET HIM. HE KILLED SOMEONE." Unfortunately for them, they engaged an innocent man. And they paid the ultimate price.

They were "next" to him because they were pursuing him. Even if they thought that Kyle was shooting random people in cold blood, how could they claim SELF-defense if the only reason that they were "next" to Kyle is because they were pursuing him?
