I have been reading up a bit on Trump and I have a theory to run by you all. I don't think Trump was a genius or a despot I think he was as mad as a box of frogs, a victim of his own life. Bought up in a family so rich it didn't matter what catastrophic mistakes he made no one ever told him he'd ballsd up. They got rid of the people around him stuck some more money in and told him he was clever and it wasn't his fault. Growing up in this setting he continued in the same way, sacking anyone who disagreed with him and blaming everyone for what went wrong. In the end surrounding himself with only two types of people. Sycophants happy to take his money and clear up his mistakes and those as mad as he was. He became so convinced he was incredible he thought he should run for president, it would be doing America a disservice if he didn't. He would fix America, he hadn't got a clue how. Beyond some vague ideas about stopping corruption and Mexicans and bringing jobs back to America, without any knowledge of the minutiae of complex economics that would need to be played out. But he didn't need to know that, he was a genius, it would just come to him on the day. And the people believed him. Its not their fault, he was so convinced himself that he was a genius that people thought he must be right. he was a very successful business man who stated outright that he knew the answers to the problems, no half hearted speeches from Donald Trump. No, he knew exactly what needed doing. Why wouldn't you believe him.
We aren't alone in thinking he is madd as a hatter. There are many distinguished individuals that concur. But, I also believe he's as criminally evil as they come. He is devoid of a moral compass. His only inner guide makes decisions on what is best for him, WITHOUT regard for how his decisions impact anyone else. He is the penultimate conman, that has skated through life destroying everything and everybody he touched. Almost destroyed the nation he pledged to support and defend in his attempt to retain power he knew he'd lost.
Hey Now, it's likely his Pop turned him into a malignant narcissist since he could stand. Mad, naahhhh, dissociative, must definitely.
Ah, rampant TDS. Gotta create the imagined persona in their heads so they can stay sane. After all we all watched them literally melt down in 2016. Since then not much reality has been able to penetrate that craziness.
'Normal' people dont become that rich or powerful. Trump is a narcisist egomaniac. But thats far preferable imo to the psychopaths and megalomaniacs who tend to hold the reigns of power these days.
No one is arguing that Joe doesn't come up short but there is one comforting thing about his being President: at least I don't feel like we're being raped every day by a man that doesn't care how bad he messes up our country so long as it helps him accomplish his personal goals.
If fear you are all going to run for your usual trenches. This is not about narcissism or other presidents. This is about how we can be swallowed up by a persona. Someone so mad you feel convinced they have something genius, only because you simply cannot process the idea that they could be that mad.
Yet it doesn't matter what the biggest liar in the world tells you, you believe him. Some day one of us will be proven wrong.
I don't think Trump was any better or worse than any other president in my lifetime. His raunchy, uncouth personality turned many Americans off on him, that's for sure. If Trump had a more pleasant personality, he may even have won reelection. He lost because of his obnoxious, rude persona he presented. An interesting fact is we had 7 million folks who voted for Biden, against Trump may be more accurate then voted Republican down ballot. It was these people that gave Biden the White House, those who disliked Trump as a person. Had they voted the same way they did down ballot, it would have been Trump with 81 million votes, Biden with 74 million. But they didn't, they just couldn't stand Trump's disgusting and very distastful behavior and actions. Deemed by most of these voters as way below the dignaty of the office of the president deserves. Hence they voted for the only adult running.
I find that description to fit Joe perfectly with one odd exception- I dont think Joe has any goals other than to be president. Thats why he does everything he's advised to do and nothing on his own. He's basically an empty chair that can sign bills and read speeches for the establishment elite.
That is the main problem. Trump thought he was president but no president is in charge anymore. That’s why the intel agencies worked so hard to take him down. He wasn’t in the club.
yes, this is the way to raise a narcissist, same is happening to many minority children, same with white nationalist children, as rich children sadly, used to be just a rich persons children that mainly suffered from this, but now seeing it a lot more in society when you tell a child repeatedly they can be anything they want because of who they are, that they are special cause of who they are, etc, they can become narcissistic
My point isn't about whether Trump was a good president, but rather whether his actions as we viewed them are the acts of a mad man. I think what we see is a man who has no idea how to react to what is coming at him. So sometimes the reaction meets our expectations and sometimes its way off beam. But in both cases its not planned.
