    In addition, many foreign governments have, or will soon limit Covid testing for the same reason I stated above.

    The CDC has defined who is at high risk.

    Attention PCR’s Cry babies......

    If I catch one of you comparing Covid’s “INACCURATE” numbers to the Flu’s “ACCURATE estimates” WATCH OUT!

    Covid’s “INACCURATE” Numbers....Due to PCR’s imperfections.

    Flu’s “ACCURATE estimates”.......includes CDC’s Low and High Range of infections, Hospitalizations, and Deaths estimates.

    I got your attention as I planned.

    A positive PCR test means you likely have Covid, and according to the cry babies, PCR tests are unreliable and grossly inaccurate.

    Also, 1 in 5 who tested positive are asymptomatic people, thus, will have no symptoms to confirm the reliability of their positive PCR test.

    In reference to the Flu, CDC’s Number infections, Hospitalizations, and deaths are ESTIMATES, and like the Flu, had our number of Covid infections, Hospitalizations, and Deaths have been ESTIMATES, and based on a low/high range of 95% UI, then two would be comparable.

    Thus, why someone would want to compare GROSSLY INACCURATE Covid numbers and Flu ESTIMATES in an effort to prove something?

    The key word “cycles” is missing from your “analysis”.

    So, they get a label "high risk" on the forehead so others know to leave them alone?

    I simply made a point.

    For example; What is/will be Omicron’s Infection Fatality Rate?

    Well, who would ask this question to people who believe PCR test results have been grossly inaccurate?

    Certainly not me!

    Also, same people shouldn’t be making comparisons using numbers they believe have been grossly inaccurate.

    Get it?

    I think I want to know how many new and active covid cases there are in my county. Because knowing those numbers can influence my behavior. In the last two weeks, our case numbers shot up to 400 new cases per 100,000 per day. I decided that this was too much for me to take the risk of dining out. If I didn't know those numbers, I couldn't adjust my risk accordingly.

    My feeling about this: DeSantis actually rather not know the numbers. Thus, opponents can't use out of control covid case numbers against him when he runs for president in 2024. His power-hungry mind is easy to read.

    In addition to the above, here’s another example of sheer stupidity;

    December 2020; Anti-PCR people concurred and defended the following study;

    “According to this XYZ study, the number of unreported infections (100 million) is 5 times more than reported”

    Well, how can a number be 5 times more than a number they believe is grossly inaccurate?

    I mean, several posters in this forum just make me laugh, and little do they know that they are contradicting themselves on a daily basis.

    How would you handle them in an office setting?

    Seems obvious its political, which tends to be the case with everything he does and says.

    Someone usually has to, at least, evaluate the Covid tests.:roll:

    Omicron is virulent but isn't a threat because it doesn't create acute sickness, hospitalizations and death.to most patients. Delta, the former Covid variant is more deadly and creates more hospitalizations to most patients than Omicron even with the acute breakout in cases of Omicron. IMO, more vaccinations should be provided by the gov't for Delta (but aren't available by the gov't 'cause the gov't has pulled Delta vaccinations:roll:).

    Number of cases don't matter, IMO. What matters is the severity of the cases.
    If we worry about number of cases, we'll be in pandemic and lockdown mode indefinitely. At some point, we'll have to factor in natural immunity and herd immunity.

    DeSantis is protecting those who are most vulnerable. If you are at very littlr risk you have nothing to worry about. If you are high risk you should be taking precautions regardless of the number of positive tests.

    You said DeSantis is protecting them, and I am asking how its done in an office setting. Clearly you do not have any idea, since you won't answer.

    No, you have not.

    Anyone else: How do you protect high risk people in an office or school setting?

    That’s why I’m torn on this issue - would be nice to know.

    DeSantis said he isn’t running in 2024 and is interested in continuing running Florida. But I do agree there is a clear political benefit when doing it this way.

    Easy - tell them where to get the vaccine, recommend masks, and if they get sick - give them the treatment.
    No need to force anyone to do anything.

    Also make sure that the preconditions leading to high risk are very well communicated and published and that those who are at high risk wear properly fitted N95 masks, social distance, work outside as much as possible, work remotely as much as possible, and use hand sanitizer. Additionally make sure that low risk employees who must come into contact with the high risk employees are regularly tested and all others stay away from them.

    It is the responsibility of high risk individuals who are working or active retirees to protect themselves. It’s the responsibility of the state government to protect those in nursing homes and hospitals. DeSantis is doing that. Cuomo did not.

    Agree, and for only one reason: He knew that X number of Nursing Homes/LTCF were either ill-prepared, didn’t have the resources, and facilities to separate/isolate their infected residents, or provide adequate protection to their non-infected residents in accordance with CDC Guidelines.

    Results;

    a. X number of Covid deaths were preventable

    b. Mitch McConnel and Co. Neglect/Mismanagement Liability Shield

    And Cuomo wasn’t the only Governor who knew.
