    how many more died in 2021 then in 2020 from murder?


    per the article, this is a trend

    "The number of murders and non-negligent manslaughters has climbed in recent years. NYPD statistics show 468 people were killed in 2020, 319 in 2019 and 295 in 2018."

    I don't know, do you feel better that Trump passed on a upward trend of murders

    or did you want to blame this all on Biden?

    I am just saying it's been trending up for a few years now

    I say it has nothing to do with Trump or Biden

    Definitely a disturbing trend. I would like to hear what criminologist and sociologist have to say on the subject. Criminology is on my ever growing list to learn about. If any know a good book on the subject please let me know. Also, please, no partisan cherry-picked data. I want to the the pros and cons no matter how well or badly it reflects upon the left or right.

    I don’t see how the left can’t be blamed for this. Black crime is swept under a rug by their politicians and media pundits. It’s simply ignored. The result of this are career criminals and repeat offenders who are constantly released back into our streets and eventually they off somebody. The Judicial system in this country is an absolute joke. This is caused by liberal politicians and judges.

    The idea that crime rates fell in 2020 is total fabrication. Just cause Democrats failed to arrest, prosecute and convict people of crimes does not mean that there were less crimes committed. There was undoubtedly a major increase crime rates.

    Also, you posted graph about violent crimes, and labeled it homicide. Did you intend to lie in the forum or were you just mistaken?

    Also, the correct chart only indicated homicides per 100,000. It does not indicate the amount of homicides that occurred. Again, did you intend to lie to forum?

    Lastly, the numbers are from 2020. The OP article is about 2021. So did you intend to lie to the forum, or did you just not read?

    What. I labeled nothing, that is a pic, copy/paste right off the website. There's a link. You can even scroll down to it.
    The correct chart, the one I posted, is rates. That's what per 100,000 means. And it equals things out over years when the population changes.

    Afterall, the OP title has rates right in it.

    I understand the post. You didn't understand the thread or our article, or you intentionally tried to mislead everyone. The murder rate is at a 25 year high. Crime is absolutely at skyrocketing even if Democrats fail to pursue prosecutions for those offenses.

    You've clearly made a mistake and you're trying to blame me for it in a condescending manner. Your response is a textbook attempt to scapegoat. That's why RWers attack you.
