No, as I've said elsewhere there is no comparison. Never before have Americans Attacked our Government on orders from THE sitting President.
"We're going to march down to the Capitol, and I'll be with you (the lying prick), and fight like hell because if you don't you won't have a country anymore."
I didn't 'try' to diminish it, it's naturally smaller than those two events that forever shaped who we are as a country. 1/6 was a temper tantrum by comparison. Again, 60% of Americans share my view on that.
That political platitude has been worn out long before Trump. No reasonable person could translate that into orders to attack. No reasonable person could consider what happened a "coup". Now if there were 3 guys in fuzzy hats, they might have seized control!
I don't of course mean legally. I, like many folks do believe that the sedition charges won't go anywhere given historic precent in that area.. Trespass, some others, perhaps, I suppose depending on the jurisdiction they land in. In DC, trespass isn't a crime anymore. Did you know that? Just asking...
I have, and did see the coverage of the mostly peaceful folks milling around here and there.. Well, except for those whipped up in a frenzy by that fed guy... or others in the crowd also employed by the FBI to insight folks..... But sure. It surely didn't impact or scare me much given the desensitization that happened by all of the much more violent and deadly BLM/ANTIFA riots earlier in DC and around the nation.
Do you really think Mitt, Nancy, and Chuck are patriots? GWB seems in odd company here, but he did charge with NCLB., and left with the Patriot Act... I'm not sure you list contains any actual patriots then.
I live in Los Angeles. A violent mob of thousands is a regular occurrence. I take an Uber to Lakers games because I don't want the mob flipping my car over and setting it on fire. (And thats if they win!)
Many people believe you were born a sinner because a snake talked a naked lady into eating an apple thousands of years ago.
Ah, you used a sweeping generalization fallacy. (Just like racists do) They are not knuckle heads; they simply have beliefs you don't share. You have similar beliefs. I can respect any belief up to the point of forcing it on others. Your belief does not equal a coup.
YOU were the one making fun of the Genesis story. I was just playing along and getting a little jab at the right in. Don't blow it out of proportion like you ALWAYS do ... oh, too late. What I believe really doesn't mean ****. The January 6th, coup attempt ... that's huge.
While I do mock religion, I understand religious people. Your coup attempt is a similar belief. You are entitled to it, just don't expect others to join your congrigation. A guy did come up to me and said "Did you know that Jesus dies for your sins?" I said "No way, he dies!!! I just started reading that book. Spoiler alert!!!"
Many people are aware of the congragation of Benedict Donald's treason; tRump and his supporters. Good one!
