ASSUMPTION? Hardly, growing up thru the sixties it was "F the MAN", then we had and still have the rich are the problem. Now it the left pushing the narrative of white privilege, racism and less opportunity when all the while the rich, white DNC overlords have boxed all the underprivileged in ghetto's, projects and created pockets of non-opportunistic areas of large cities. For almost a century the DNC and the war on poverty/welfare program has done very little to move this voting block out of poverty/welfare and in to productive area's of the U.S.! Generation after generation have been subsidized, drugged and soaked in alcohol and will stay that way until they learn that the only worth they have to the DNC is a vote, and after they vote the DNC ignores them, until they are once again needed four years later..

Here's the things schools should be teaching:

The Core: Reading, Writing, and 'Rithmetic.
How to work with your Peers:
How to work with your Authority Figures.
Basic rules for navigating your way thru society. I include things like paying taxes and insurance in here.
Basic moral and ethical rules: This boils down to the Golden Rule or "What goes around comes around"
Basic rules for accepting responsibility.
Restorative Justice. It is YOUR responsibility to make right the harm YOU caused. You should see how I prove that using hammers and nails.

Now what I DON'T include are how to rank divisive sets of kids in the name of some soft-headed brainless wokeism. It would be like me telling a black kid that he has more privilege than that Asian kid over there because he gets to beat up the Asian then blame it on white extremism and not accept responsibility himself - which is totally a thing. .

 

Back in the day my high school taught us how to maintain a checkbook and how to type. Both were useful.

male has its privilege's, female has it's privilege's.
black has privilege's, white has privilege's.
tall, handsome, short, fat, skinny, smart, stupid...wealthy, poor...

athletic, non athletic...we are all given gifts and its how we chose to use those gifts are going to dictate how we fair in life.

Here's the thing: many districts have a philosophy - ALL CHILDREN CAN LEARN. But you look at what's being shoved down our throats, you got, well, you guys over there can learn better cuz you're white, male, and cis-gendered - but you black kids over there - hmm, how many boxes did you check off? Oh, you haveta share rooms and don't have a dad and you ain't a Christian so you guys are a jillion steps behind, because you lack privilege you can't learn or do well in school like THOSE FOLK. They are literally saying that our kids are UNequal - the total opposite of what we are supposed to be teaching our kids. And I don't even wanna go into all the food we're handing out so that there shouldn't be a hunger issue.

This is the opposite of what the educational mission statement is. This is - I dunno, educational malpractice.

You know, @ToughTalk had a good point there - where was being beautiful/handsome on the list? Or being tall? Uh - oh - why, those might apply to minority kids, eh?
