and when did the build up of 100,000 Russian troops along the Ukraine border occur?

March 2021, within 60 days of Biden's inauguration it began. They weren't there when Trump was President

Think EU has to put its big boy pants on pretty soon. How long are we going to baby sit and wipe the drool from the chins of countries who refuse to properly defend themselves? Our military budget should be cut in 1/2 because the world should be paying a big chunk of it as collateral for our protection.

Much truth in what you've said! But it's very doubtful that the 'big boys' among the so-called Big Boys of the EU will, or even can, 'step up' at this point.

Example: condider the sad deterioration of the German Bundeswehr during all those years under former Kanzlerin Angela Merkel... and now that the hard-core Socialist coalition has taken over the country, Germany's military capabilities will become predictably even WORSE....

The concern here is that dementia may cause Biden to confuse Putin with CornPop.

It was NATO that made the US the nation it is today.

Without NATO, the Warsaw Pact and the USSR would still exist.

Isolationism leaves the way open for autocrats with expansionist aims and that is exactly what led us to WW2.

You mean a nation known for regime change (or attempted regime change) throughout the world? Instead of minding our own ****ing borders?

Question for all: Under what authority does Joe Biden have to deploy troops to Ukraine? Hint: He doesn't have any.

I guess it was a real blunder on Putin's part to wait until Trump was out of office before pulling this stunt, huh?

Trump would blackmail Zelensky in return for US support.

If this kind of 'policy' doesn't help Putin, I wonder what does.

Who gives a ****. Zelensky doesn't trump the Congress or the War Powers Act. Biden has no authority. Attention lefties, this is what a real dictator does.

My guess is that Biden is moving troops around Europe to look like he's doing something.

His bosses in the White House told him to do it, so it would get in the news. "You need to look tough and threatening."

Then someone in the White House calls their girlfriend at CNN as says, "Hey we're moving an aircraft carrier from Spain to Italy. And we're flying jets in circles around Greece. Make it sound good."

And the next thing ya know, we've got all these stories about troop movements ... that don't mean anything.

Biden official: American interest in Ukraine is ensuring borders are "inviolate"

He should head the Irony Department.

"CNN’s John Berman asks a solid question: why should Americans care about the fate of this country on the eastern edge of Europe? Jonathan Finer, deputy national security adviser to Joe Biden, says we should be all about enforcing border security and recognizing national sovereignty."

"This administration refuses to address our own border crisis that Biden and Kamala Harris touched off with their campaign rhetoric and bungled policy reversals. They won’t even talk about it now, trying their best to distract from the tsunami of migration that is still overwhelming our border security apparatus."

Who has bought these guys who are supposed to be putting US first?

Those who are against NATO making sure that Ukraine is not invaded by Russia know nothing about history.

I don't agree with that decision but Biden can if they will be part of NATO.

Germany doesn't seem interested in NATO action in Ukraine, but, if it's important to you, you can send your own family members, first, to put their lives on the line to secure Ukraine's borders.

Getting the US involved requires an Act of Congress, and will require those with your view, making a positive case for why such a war is in OUR National Interests, or do you still think we are ruled by Left Wing Hunta?

If Biden wants to make a positive case to Congress for why getting involved in a war in Ukraine is in our national interests, he is free to do so.

This is what everybody seems to miss. Biden just can't unilaterally start a war with Russia in Ukraine, he must go to Congress. Everybody on the left talked about how much of a dictator Donald Trump was, but Biden is free to thrust us into WW3 unchecked in their book.

Just how big does NATO need to be to not be scared of the Russian Bear? The population of all NATO countries combined is 950 million. Russia is 150 million. Does anyone think adding the welfare state of Ukraine will make a difference? At what point will people understand what NATO is now all about? And it ain't about protecting Europe from the big bad boogie man Russia. It's about fleecing US taxpayers.

Some people think that Trump pointing out that simple truth is why the Deep State coordinated to expel him. Did you know that Ukraine offered Vindman the Minister of Defense position? I have no idea what the Podesta Bros and all these other US political operators were and are doing in the Ukraine, but, I have no sense that it's putting us first.

If they want to present a positive case to Congress for why it's in OUR interest to protect the borders of the Ukraine, then they are free to make the case.

Germany has given us two world wars and does not have the atomic bomb.

I invite you to read what France and UK think about Putin's intentions.

I will repeat myself, but those who do not understand why NATO refuses to make any concessions to Russia are seriously lacking in contemporary history.

Or, it's that Conservative habit of being sympathetic to dictators.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was both.

In any case, it is unthinkable to let Russia invade Ukraine.

The geostrategic stakes are too high, not to mention the devastating impact it would have on NATO's credibility with those nations that have recently joined and are direct neighbors of Russia.

So, in the end, educate yourself and listen less to Tucker Carlson.
