BC schools have been open except May 2020 when school went online while changes were put in place to reopen. People were never told they had to stay home.

Restrictions on learning materials makes the teacher's job far more difficult, if not impossible. Good teachers will love on—why teach where you're being hassled?—and you'll be left with those who had no way out.

 

Well at least you're being consistent, which is more than can be said about most people on your side. I guess I shouldn't be surprised since you've demonstrated this before.

What were people allowed to do during lockdowns in BC other than go shopping and exercise? And could people do these things for as much of the day as they like?

 

Large gatherings indoors were restricted. Restaurants and bars have at times had reduced capacity, or even closed. The government has acted consistently to prevent hospitals from having to restrict nonemergency operations and routine testing. Recently, the government has required vaccination to dine in restaurants, go to bars, and limited gathering sizes when unvaccinated are attending. I think the Omicron variant has peaked and the provincial health officer is beginning to lift restrictions.

 

Given that death is a reality of life, and given that you think that the number of deaths in BC is acceptable but the number of deaths
in Florida is unacceptable, what is your cut off point between 480 and 2960 per million when it starts to become unacceptable?

Who said the number of death in British Columbia is acceptable? The BC government failed to protect nursing home residents by requiring everyone visiting nursing homes be fully vaccinated. Ditto schools.
