That's great! However, what does that have to do with OP? We need more drilling to happen NOW, and as the OP states, the Biden admin halts all new leases.
Because they have been further explored and not financially feasible at this time? Can’t ‘Pick and Choose’ Companies can still act on the leases and drilling permits they’ve been aggressively accumulating over the last decade across the West before seeking more acreage, said Bob Abbey, an attorney who served as land bureau director during the Obama administration. “There are oil and gas companies that have hundreds of previously issued permits to drill which have been issued over the years, but these companies have chosen not to drill on many of these permits, primarily due to economic reasons,” said Abbey, now with Abbey, Stubbs & Ford LLC. There’s a good reason many stockpiled leases remain undeveloped: there may be no oil and gas to be found there, or companies discover that it’s not economically feasible to drill, said Angela Franklin, a partner at Holland and Hart LLP in Salt Lake City who represents industry clients. “We don’t get to pick and choose where the oil is located,” she said, adding that there’s a “tremendous amount of acres that is not developed and may never be developed” because companies haven’t found oil or gas. It’s also possible companies have leases on too little land in one place to justify drilling there, she said. https://news.bloomberglaw.com/envir...stockpiled-drilling-leases-before-biden-pause Those acres aren't "proven reserves".
Maybe we should export more by producing more, stop importing from Russia paying them in US dollars and put them out of business.
How will exporting more reduce prices in USA? That makes no sense. You would have to get our US oil companies to stop exporting, IE, gov't force if you want to keep our oil we produce in the country. Or let the markets determine where they sell it. Is the RW about free market capitalism or not? I actually say not, given the failed China trade war.
That you actually think a trump appointed judge is part of the Biden admin. How do you draw that conclusion?
https://www.zerohedge.com/markets/b...ing-leases-despite-court-ruling-against-using HYPERLINK has full story snip As oil prices continue to rocket, now further helped along by Russia's invasion of Ukraine, the Biden administration is still fighting tooth and nail to freeze new oil and gas drilling leases - even after a court ruled against the administration for using a metric to estimate "the societal cost of carbon emissions" to justify their move. end snip I don't think any comment is really needed but here goes. When you consider what is happening overseas, do we really want to continue the harmful Democrat policies? Why can't they take a breath, step back and leave us alone and let us again become energy independent? I shake my head in bewilderment that people voted for full Democrat control.
Only a partisan could see a Judge that was sat during the trump administration making a ruling as being “the Biden Administration”. Because we can read further than the headline. You should try it
Inflation is rampant under this moron and gas prices are skyrocketing as they have been for the last year. Even a halfwit can see that
Inflation is occurring world wide and was ramping up in early 2020 due to COVID supply chain impacts (supply / demand) and potentially loose monetary policy utilized to prop up failed economic policy. Below you can see these increases with a short dip upon the election of Biden which it then continued on the prior trajectory. A halfwit would absolutely see inflation and blindly point to whoever they already don’t like while ignoring global trends and economic analysis. This isn’t trump or Biden’s fault according to people that actually study these types of events. Honestly, do you really believe inflation would have been significantly less had trump won the 2020 elections?
Not mention duplicate thread... somebody else tried this yesterday, although using a much better URL in the OP (which the OP failed to put in their article snips..... naturally). I expect we'll see a few more of these threads over the weekend...
I just love how you people blame Trump if you stumped your toe at night and now all of a sudden nothing is the president's fault. If Trump was still president there's a very good chance that we'd have a lot more domestic oil and he would continue deregulating industries and letting them prosper. I know that sounds scary deregulation.... We need more government control of everything more red tape more money for the government
only as more failed Democrat polices reveal how harmful they are. Sorry if you are offended of the fallout from Democrat votes.
Biden approved 900 more oil and gas drilling leases in his first year in office than Dirty Don's administration did.
Two things here. Nov 2020 wasn’t a vote for full Democratic control. It was a vote to get rid of Trump, make Biden president. Then down ballot, roughly 7 million of those who voted against Trump, for Biden voted Republican for the house, senate, governor and state legislatures. Very few understand this. They’re too fixated on Trump, the presidential election. This is the reason the Republicans picked 13 house seats, a governorship and 2 state legislatures all the while losing the presidency by 7 million plus votes. The whole election, from the presidency on down to state legislatures and other local races was a mixed bag. Nov 2020 was an anti-Trump vote, but not anti-Republican or pro-democratic party. This was especially true among independent voters, 41% of independents voted for Trump, but 48% voted Republican in the house elections, 51% for republican senate candidates and 52% for Republican governor candidates. That’s not voting for full Democratic Party control. Quite the contrary. Two, the Democratic policy with oil and natural gas, making this nation more dependent on foreign sources does in my opinion increase the chances of us getting involved in another war overseas. We will become dependent on foreign sources and not our own. Becoming energy independent is possible. I think this policy of not utilizing our own nation’s resources, which are abundant, will indeed increase the price of a gallon of gas, the price to heat one’s home, drive up food prices and much more. Gas prices has risen from 2 dollar a gallon to 3.50 on average over the last year and one half. Up to 5 dollars a gallon in California. I think gas will only continue to rise along with inflation which will lead to a Democratic reversal of fortune in the midterms. This regardless of Russia and the Ukraine.
All oil drillers know that EV's are slowly but surely replacing fossil fuel driven vehicle's, so they are going to use every excuse to raise prices and gouge the public every chance they get. After all it is the capitalist way.
