How do you know this to proclaim it? Are you saying that a loving God would not bless us with an increase? He created the earth and all things in it. All of our gains in science and medicine come from the earth which he gave us as a home and source. Removing ones benefactor from the equation is rather self deluding. First off your line of reasoning makes it out as if it is the gay person's fault for being beat up by a bigot. You do this by claiming that them being outed is the reason that they get beat up. It is not them being outed that causes the violence. It is the bigots that cause the violence. Place the blame on them. Not on the gay person.

Second, one cannot be denied agency over their own sexuality by anyone. Why? Because ones sexuality is a part of their being. One can no longer be denied their agency of sexuality than one can be denied having red blood cells. At most one can be forced to hide their sexuality. But that does not get rid of it. It is still there.

As for "social harm"....we have this little thing called "freedom of association". If your social circle does not accept you for who you are then find another social circle and tell your previous circle to go stick it where the sun doesn't shine. Plenty of social circles that will accept you for who you are. Anyone else does not matter. Remember, one can only take offense. One cannot give it.

Your line of reasoning makes people have the mentality of being victims. Instead of doing that, try affirming them. Try teaching them to grow thicker skins rather than accept being victims. That is the lefts biggest problem. They want everyone, except straight white males, to be considered as victims and to act like victims 24/7/365 for an eternity. Here’s the big, and I mean really big and important difference; by it’s very nature science is willing to accept new information and test it for accuracy instead of walking away from possible answers by injecting “god” and closing their ears on the topic.
One of these is intellectually unsound and reeks of mysticism. It’s perfectly ok in science to admit you don’t have all the answers, but in religion that costs you your “soul”, and that’s foolish blackmail.
