No, I've read about more different religions than most. I'm 100% open to any god or gods to leave evidence of their existence, in fact I'd love for that to be true. Your mind is closed around being 100% sure YOUR flavor of deity did all the things that make you feel better. That said, if all of todays knowledge and literature disappeared, science would eventually lead us back to understanding medicine and electricity and what's going on in our solar system. But no religions would be seen or heard from again because it's all mythology and some people can't tell theirs from reality. They make that choice in the face of the uncertainty of death.

Just like the religion of global warming, you are forming beliefs and proffering assertions as fact that in fact have no basis in fact. Say that fast ten times.

I think since the vaccine has come out, Florida has more deaths from COVID than New York. And faith ain’t working at curing problems. So I’m pretty sure I know what I’m talking about.

No, I don't need to prove anything to you. I'll leave you wallowing in your bigoted opinions.

Yeah, you're nothing unique, millions before you have had the same attitude. They're gone, as you will be as well, and Christianity is still here growing stronger every year

Moved the goalposts... but I'll play. The corollary is those who believe the state should intervene in the private lives of citizens -- as "social conservatism" embodies -- deserve the high taxes and anti-Constitution policies they get because they will not support a candidate who does not favor the kind of state intervention that is necessary for social conservatism.

That's a nonsense question since God exists outside time and space. We have no ability to conceive of a "before God," least of all scientists who are limited to knowing nothing other than the physical world.

I've conceded nothing, other than your limited ability to understand anything outside your narrow little worldview.

Oh, I answered, you just don't like the answer. I find this is typical of secular leftists, limited ability to understand outside their constructed little bubble.

Fallacy. Argumentum ad hominem. I am not the topic of this thread. A factual rebuttal addressing the topic would better support your argument.

Uh sorry but none of the abrahamic religions would still exist if the literature disappeared. It's not like miracles or other magic has ever happened since the invention of the camera.

Confirmation bias is what's driving comments about where xtianity is headed. As long as people need imaginary friends this will continue, islam is the fastest growing religion on the planet. You'll be as gone as me and every other living person on the planet one day, nothing will ever change that. Might as well have fun and learn something new instead of pander to fear.

And this is exactly why the OP has no place
And this is precisely why the OP has no place in current events. The discussion about god or the lack thereof is the result of the OP not bringing any current event to the table. I have zero problem with this discussion, it just really doesn't belong here becuase there was nothing to discuss in terms of "current events" so instead it devolved into does god exist or not. Please learn where to post

    Who created the universe?
    How as the universe created?
It is called the “mystery of faith” for a reason.
And your idea of conservatives comes from some weird tangent that needs explaining while you are at it.

Statistics are driving comments about where Christianity is headed, not confirmation bias. You may want to look at global statistics on the growth of Christianity, as well as other religions. Hint, religion is not dying, God is not dead.

oops. looks like it is islam. that's not any better, mind you. religion will always lose to science the way reason parts the waters of ignorance. Honestly though, the last god you'd want to actually be real is the abarahamic one. A narcissist, mass murderer, child killing lunatic. If you gotta pick one pick one that's at least not a nutjob. They're all just a projection of human fears, desires, and psych as it is so you can at least recognize them for what they represent to humanity. Of course the abrahamic one took off because it was the only one during the roman period where all gods and humans suddenly had an option instead of their fate in tartarus or the elysian fields. Oh look, a religion where you can somehow magically escape the one fear everyone has!

Islam is claimed to be the fastest growing religion right now, but Christianity is also growing faster than global population, especially in sub-Saharan Africa. Both religions believe in a creator God, so we have to take with a grain of salt the secularist claims that science will kill off faith. There is no evidence of that.

It is ironic that you say science will not kill off religious preference and then highlight it is only growing in poor, repressed, uneducated areas of the world.

Study after study have shown that prosperity and education absolutely demolish religious affiliation. People typically only cling to religious preference due to indoctrination or desperation it seems.

I think you're mistaken. The liberal world order may very well be collapsing, and if so. you'll see a huge return to religion, even in the countries now experiencing a decline. It has been expressed that man has within him a God-shaped hole. a void only God can fill. It's an approximation of Pascale's observation:

"What else does this craving, and this helplessness, proclaim but that there was once in man a true happiness, of which all that now remains is the empty print and trace? This he tries in vain to fill with everything around him, seeking in things that are not there the help he cannot find in those that are, though none can help, since this infinite abyss can be filled only with an infinite and immutable object; in other words by God himself.” -- Blaise Pascal, Pensées VII(425)
Science is not going to change the nature of man.
