    HYPERLINK has full article

    snip

According to Yardeni Research, increased oil costs suggest the average American household will pay almost $2,000 more for gasoline in 2022, according to a Monday research note.............................

we estimate that the average household is currently spending at least $1,000 [according to a seasonally adjusted annual rate] more on food as a result of rapidly rising grocery prices,"

    end snip

This is the reality. While the media and Democrat party spend their time demonizing a former POTUS, the regular folk are feeling financial pain. This is not just because of Ukraine but it began with harmful, Democrat policies. Those are policies for which Democrat voters wanted

We had higher energy prices the moment the executive orders were signed intending to harm the regular folk; and harm they did.

I still question how anyone can defend their Democrat vote given the harm that it causes

Its sanction crazy, cutting off you nose to spite your face. The neutral countries will benefit and be happy to watch. It used to be us who used that to our benefit. Should have just talked and gave Ukraine weapons, not sanction Russia and ourselves into another recession just as things were starting to get better.

Its going to be more than that $2000.0 estimate before its all over, this ban will cause another spike. Maybe we can get a recession going, you know for the cause. DOW in correction territory.

Gas has doubled since Biden took office. Oil has doubled. 100% inflation in a year. Brandon says, "I did that"...

And what does the media cover..............their version of what Trump or DeSantis said

People are hurting and since there is nothing positive from Democrat votes; all they have is to bash those in the GOP

    ONLY $2,000?
That seems like a LOWBALL "Estimate"...

Gas will be 7 Bucks a Gallon by Memorial Day...

THEN, we can have ANOTHER Thread:
The average American household will pay almost $3,000 more for gasoline in 2022

And, of course, the "How Much High Gas Prices are Costing Americans" threads will stand proudly alongside the Daily Diet of redundant "New Data: Worst in 40 Years" threads.
    Sounds like a plan.:flagus:

Oh that's what you will see if we are lucky. It might be "Policies, Sanctions and Bans drives us into RECESSION 2022". The right will like that topic a lot better. Good chance at this point it will happen.

Gas at my regular watering hole up 16 cents since Sunday to $4.159 I am told. Fortunately I filled up Friday when it was still at the great bargain price of $3.499

Gosh, I sure wish the United States existed in the vacuum that the conclusions in posts like this rely on. Then it would be easy to pick a political opponent and blame everything on them. I hate that reality is being a huge pain in the ass by getting in the way.

    Sounds good.
Walmart had 3.85 Gas Yesterday, when everybody else was 4.25.
About 5 miles away, but worth it.

So many people had the same idea, that even though the station had 18 Pumps, it was backed up for about a 1/2 mile and Cops were called to direct traffic.

I didn't vote for Biden, but even if I had, it's only in your head that this is all Biden's fault to begin with. As far as propaganda goes, these "Democratic votes have consequences" threads are pretty poor. Even a half competent person who's only paying attention 25% of the time knows that our economy is interlocked with that of the rest of the world. You know, all those other landmasses on the globe that aren't the United States of America. They exist too. In real life. Shocking I know, but it's true.

People are so f***ing stupid. What kind of MORON waits in a 1/2 mile queue to save less than $5 on gas (assuming an empty 12 gallon tank)???

we should have weaned ourself off of fossil fuels long ago. Our short sighted leaders, and people, have done this to themselves, making the energy tycoons fat and happy. Now it is a threat to National security. Way to go.

Do you remember last year when Trump said that gas could hit $7/gallon under Biden and Democrats like you just scoffed and ridiculed him? --- Are you now going to admit that Trump was right?

Yeah, I had a day where I still had a 1/2 tank of gas left in my vehicle but I decided to quickly buy it for $3.45/gal (as other stations in the area were already charging $3.74/gal)... It is now $3.99/gal as of this morning and will probably be at least at least ten cents into the 4's by my evening commute.

The economic/energy policies that are causing these price increases are directly coming from the Biden Regime. Reverse their "6uild 6ack 6etter" policies and prices would plummet within roughly half a year.

So the days of the Jimmy Carter gas lines (& shortages and rationing) are coming back again, eh?? Jimmy Carter was, yup, you guessed it, another DEMOCRAT.

No, it's not... These price issues are directly being caused by the Biden Regime's reversal of the Trump-era economic/energy policies. It is directly being caused by the "6uild 6ack 6etter" agenda.

Yeah, except no. The inflation began in 2020 and was going to happen regardless of who won the election, and the energy prices are being driven by the entire world, not just the United States. I suggest you find a globe, look at it, and accept the fact that even if you are the biggest isolationist who has ever lived that you cannot simply ignore the rest of the countries you find on that globe if you want to have a realistic conversation about economics.

Sam's Club was still $3.89 yesterday but you would have taken an hour to get to a pump the line was so long. I live in a border town and the state next to us has a 25 cent per gallon higher gas tax so their people flood our Sam's whenever there is a run on gas.

I was around back then. The gas lines were mostly in 1973. That was Nixon:

"President Nixon responded to the energy crisis by instituting a strict rationing program. In hindsight, this rationing program had more drastic effects at home than did OPEC. The image of Americans waiting in long lines at the pump for gasoline symbolized the end of a post-World War II era of economic growth and prosperity and a new, uncertain future."
    https://energyhistory.yale.edu/units/oil-shocks-1970s

The Carter crisis was mostly home heating oil.
