MSNBC's Joy Reid: World paying attention to Ukraine because it's a 'White ... Christian nation'

I have to admit that I find particular joy when someone wears their racism on their sleeve like Joy Reid does. 24/7 she's consumed by RACISM!, she goes to sleep thinking racist and hateful thoughts about White people and she wakes up thinking racist and hateful thoughts towards White people. It will be a day for celebration when this Racist White Hating creep is finally thrown off the airways for good, but until then she never disappoints when she opens up her trap.

I'm no fan of Reid - I, too, find she plays the race card far too much. But I can't say that she doesn't have a point. The refugees from Ukraine are being welcomed with open arms. Muslims don't have that kind of reaction on such a widespread basis.

 

how is she wrong on this one? if this was happening in south america or africa it would get no more coverage than a missing black teenager.

 

My concern is that Putin has appeared to have lost his mind and is not completely opposed to going nuclear. Black or white, a nuclear war has no winners. It has nothing to do with the color of the skin in the Ukraine.

 

I guess the simplest way to prove her wrong is to say. You would welcome Syrian refugees into your homes, neighborhoods and towns with the same empathy as you would the Ukranian refugees. If that statement is true overall than she would be wrong. Easy peasy.

BTW: Why is Joy Reid still at MSNBC? I thought I saw a thread months ago that said she was fired. Did they bring her back?

But that's where the discussion begins, not ends...

Because it's not just a matter of race (something she undoubtedly said). Putin is trying kill NATO, and get the EU to bend the knee. The barbarous assault on Ukraine is hardly the limit to Putin's ambitions, he's made that exceptionally clear.

You should also be aware that the chances of the fighting spilling into NATO countries is real.

This seems to me the most precarious crisis since the Cuban Missile Crisis in it's potential to develop into something biblical.

I don't know why I even bother, facts and data are completely irrelevant to the left. The only thing that matters is the narrative.

 

Why is that? She works for a network that guides the coverage. If the networks are going 24/7 on Ukraine and are ignoring the war in Yemen or Ethiopia because or "racism." then the racism is inside her house.

 

The Progressive Left strangely seems to be the one paying the most media news attention to Ukraine.

Probably has to do with their hatred against Russia and Putin, since Russia is seen as an enemy of the Progressive European Union.

Besides the fact that Ukraine is also a budding "Progressive" society in Eastern Europe.

I think the Left somewhere deep down knows countries in other parts of the world will never be like Progressive places in Europe anytime soon. If this was happening in Pakistan, it wouldn't get half the attention.

It couldn't be that a widespread sect(even if a 'minority' in this case they truly are the loud minority) of jihadists have attacked human civilian populations, thus leading to widespread distrust among Western citizens and their government. No, nothing to do with that at all.

She is right, of course. Now all you have to explain is why there is anything wrong with that. Everyone shares a natural sympathy with people with whom they share culture and religion. I have invited into my home, and been invited into the homes, of Lebanese and Syrian Arabs. But they are Christian Arabs. I don't expect that will ever happen with Muslim Arabs.
