    The problem is that they have a history of declaring truthful information that they dislike to be "foreign disinfo". That's exactly what they did with the New York Post's reporting about Hunter Biden's laptop.

    Joe Biden's new disinformation czar Nina Jankowicz declared herself the "Mary Poppins of disinformation."

    The secretive "administration has refused to answer questions about its decision to give the disinformation post to Jankowicz, who falsely labeled Hunter Biden's laptop a "Russian influence op" and for her flamboyant TikTok videos." In one video she asked who she would have to f--k to become rich and powerful.

    Jankowicz doesn't care for conservatives and advocates for censorship on social media. Other than that she was "very nearly perfect in every way."

    A lot of people think the Oval Office is being run by committees. Without one person calling the shots all the committees get what they want even if it hurts the host. Biden will go down as the worst president in history and he can thank the people he surrounded himself with starting with Harris (who he didn’t pick, the DNC did)

    Thats the double edged sword of freedom of speech unfortunately. Would it be good if disinformation wasn't being spread by the hour all over the country? Yes, but whatever "something" you come up with to try to stop that is ultimately giving the power of "something" to tell you what is and is not true. And there mere fact that nothing, and I mean nothing, in society is infallible makes that premise scary.

    Who gets to decide what is and isn't objectively true? Who are we the people willing to give that ultimate authority to? The government? Do you trust that the government is honest with no ulterior motive? Independent fact checkers? Do they have a bias? Are they going to genuinely give you the raw facts in order to allow people to make their own decisions or are they going to selectively publish facts to push a particular narrative? Who is fact checking the fact checkers to keep them honest?

    Everybody has a bias and the trick is trying to figuring out who can best quell their bias to be as close to objectionable as possible. You can get close with individuals or small groups of people perhaps but when it comes to establishing "something" large enough to moderate an entire nations "information" then there is no way possible to keep such an organization honest. Few media outlets just flat out blatantly lie, they are mostly what we call factual but not honest because they all have an agenda and that includes the government. Plus the media is a business, nobody wants to read raw unfiltered data as "news" plus even simply publishing raw unfiltered facts doesn't necessarily paint an accurate picture. The impossible trick is using raw facts to paint an accurate picture that "someone" or "something" deems "authorized for public dissemination". But who is the "something"?
