My post was not meant to be crass or morbid. Of course, the murder of our seated VP would cause a pause, but it wouldn't cause an indefinite melee.

The question would then be if Trump ordered martial law would anybody be able to override him? It was said that many of our top military people were concerned about his rash decisions and instability. I don't know that I've ever heard such concerns from hundreds of people about any seated lawmaker. Pence and Pelosi overrode him and called for back-up because he refused to do it but would they (and anybody else around there with an ounce of sanity) be able to get our military to stand down against a direct order from the POTUS? Trump being crazy is not the issue. People cool and willing to attack law enforcement on his behalf is a big problem.

You need to pay closer attention.
Trump and the people who attend his events are all "back the blue" to the max.

That's the problem. It is happening here. Not in Stalin's Russia.

    The Inconvenient Truth:

The American criminal justice system has been exposed for framing, charging and convicting thousands of innocent defendants.
    Surely you know that.

Can you link to any of your posts in which you were concerned about this when it happened to anyone other than the Capitol rioters?

Are you really denying that thousands of innocents defendants have been framed and railroaded into prison by our corrupt criminal justice system?

Lol...you tell us. Real conservatives don't pander to trump's lies or make excuses for his crimes or those of his supporters.

    Sure.

Justice is a word. A "justice system" operated by human beings will always be to some degree corrupt and at best marginally effective. IOW, at best a necessary evil.

“Conservative estimates by the Innocence Project suggest that at least 1% of the people in U.S. prisons are wrongfully convicted. That is 20,000 people.
Six times more Black men than white men are incarcerated in this country.[1]
ABC News reported last year that in 2018, in 800 jurisdictions in this country, "Black people were arrested at a rate five times higher than white people." And, "n 250 jurisdictions, Black people were 10 times more likely to be arrested than their white counterparts" in that same year.[2]
A recent study found that 54% of wrongful convictions that later led to exonerations involved official misconduct — the police, prosecutors or both breaking the rules to get a conviction.[3] This same study found that police and prosecutors are rarely disciplined for this misconduct.

Thousands of innocent people sitting in jail for collectively hundreds of thousands of years, and rarely is anyone held accountable — this is not justice.

That's all true, but the attempt(s) to delay the 1/6 certification were all part of a plan to get the election out of the hands of Congress and the legitimate electors any way possible...

ANYTHING could have happened had Congress not come back in the evening and finished him.......err........ finished it....

Maybe thousands if you go back to the start of the country..... Not ideal, but not abysmal for 235 years...

However, the 3 men pleading guilty to seditious conspiracy (so far) are most likely guilty of seditious conspiracy...

Know how I know??? They pleaded guilty to seditious conspiracy (probably to eliminate some years in the pokey)...

SHE had no power to "overturn" an election but as much right to speak her mind about the election as you she is not subevent to her husband so give it up. Did Jill Biden give up her right to speak out? No. Do the spouses of members of Congress? No.

I suppose the rigged popular election might have been rejected which would obviously been a good thing, but showing that the popular vote was rigged does not necessarily invalidate the decision of the Congress and the EC to reject a candidate.

Presidents are not elected by popular vote.

Seems your definition of "speaking out" differs from most of America.....

OTOH, I'm already on record that if this is all she did, she's probably legally safe, as is her OLD man....

Time will tell if she translated any of her paranoid, misguided rants into actual actions...

You have been disinformed. 2500 phony convictions were exposed over 26 years.
IOW, the tip of a massive iceberg

“The National Registry of Exonerations is a project of the University of Michigan Law School, Michigan State University College of Law and the University of California Irvine Newkirk Center for Science and Society. The Registry was co-founded in 2012 with the Center on Wrongful Convictions at Northwestern University School of Law to provide detailed information about known exonerations in the United States since 1989. As of February 6, 2020, the Registry has 2,551 known exonerations in the United States since 1989.[1] The National Registry does not include more than 1,800 defendants cleared in 15 large-scale police scandals that came to light between 1989 and March 7, 2017, in which officers systematically framed innocent defendants.[2][3]”

OK, but what I'm trying to say is that if that worst case scenario had happened, there is no way Trump would have been able to walk back his rally manipulation speech because he specifically lied about Pence's authority and, clearly, none of the rioters knew or bothered to check if that was even true.

So, let's say that things are put on hold for a few days, Ginni gets AZ to overturn their counts...the President selects a new VP which goes to vote.

    Image4.jpg

That would push the Dems to push back to not vote in a "Trump cultist" right? Therefore, the new VP would probably invoke the 25th Amendment and get the backing to remove him from power.

I thought the audit would bring you back to reality.

    But it didn't.

And meanwhile, Biden is not certified and there's more time for sedition....

There is NO good scenario coming out of the certification date slipping... as it was, it went into 1/7....

As much as a spineless schmuck as he is/was (can you actually hang a man with no spine to death?? An interesting discussion someday), America has to thank Mike Pence for his day of service to this country...

You really don't read my posts. I dismissed the RP audits as fundraising scams from the start.
Why would anyone expect a party that helped rig an election to expose election fraud.

You are not addressing the post you quoted, instead you are deflecting somewhere. Anywhere I guess with a distinction without differences logically fallacy. Disingenuous at best..

She did not have the power to over turn an election or much of anything else and is a private citizen just as you with just as much free speech rights.

You brought up the "insurrection" in this thread, and argued that defendants are rarely framed and railroaded into prison in the US.
I just shared the ugly truth with you.

The controversy over his wife solved the riddle of Clarence Thomas, a black justice who opines like a white conservative. It was his wife who has been influencing his decisions for many decades.
