    Krauthammer used to talk about how hard it is to lock up the mentally ill, and that it used to be much easier. I don’t know much about it, but if we love freedom we have to allow the freedom to be crazy.

    Let me make sure y’all understand something. Because I don’t think y’all get it.

    There will NEVER be a tragedy, as awful as this one was, which will persuade people to give up their right to bear firearms. Ever. Do you know why?

    Because he who is willing to sacrifice freedom for security will receive none and deserves neither.

    Attributed to Franklin but I don’t think he said it. Regardless whoever did say it was correct.

    Probably not. But we can certainly restrict the hell out of them. Just so we can at least REDUCE the number of these shootings.

    There are many many things in which responsible gun owners and we in the anti-gun crowd could agree on.

    No, you can't. That's the point of the 2nd Amendment. You can't legally "restrict the hell out of them".

    Like another poster said, I don't remember school shootings happening when I was younger. What is happening with the young people today to do things like this? Who is raising these kids to be capable of such things? Something with parenting and family values has gone horribly wrong in recent decades.

    You beat me to it. I was going to suggest that anti 2A libs stop whining on a board that won't change anything and get their politicians to campaign and gun confiscation. We saw how that helped O'Rourke.

    Bro we can’t control what some crazy guy does. But if we attempt to restrict all the sane citizens in an attempt to halt the crazy ones, do you know how messed up it would be?

    How do you restrict the hell out of them? We have drugs (which killed 107,000 people last year) and millions of people smuggled across our border, how are you going to stop guns?

    Uvalde sits out there in the middle of nothing in the vast expanse of Texas ranching country where everybody has firearms. I grew up in that general area of Texas, but, up in the Texas Hill Country... and I know what I'm talking about.

    The law enforcement people out there have their hands FULL just dealing with illegal aliens, drug-criminals, plus all the usual other crap you find all over the country these days....

    Maybe the hyperliberal, gun-hating Left is right after all! Maybe we will turn into some kind of 'Nazi-esque' country... in SELF-DEFENCE!

    another disengeneous falsehood. Nowhere does the second amendment give anyone the right to illegally shoot anyone.

    Trayvon Martin never had a gun. Zimmerman did. Zimmerman said he thought Martin had a gun and was "acting suspiciously." Thus, that is why Zimmerman followed him and eventually killed him because he said he was reasonable in fear for his life.
