high schools and junior high often do, just not all the time in small towns. Elementary schools do not have full time armed police officers.

I actually don't understand how this could happen at an elementary school.

I live in Texas I don't know of an elementary school you can walk into. Their doors are locked at all times. My kid is in an elementary school and I can't just walk into the school at any random time...all doors are locked.

 

So you admit that disarming civilians increases the level of security.

I grew up with guns more accessible than they are now
and we didn't see all this. Something is wrong with our national values. What the hell makes people so these things?

So, this crime happened in the heart of Texas. Not some liberal commune. So much for superior methods of safety. If it happened there it could happen anywhere!! I think it's time to come to terms with the fact that schools are vulnerable everywhere and it's too much to ask to secure our schools across America. It can't be done.

You can repeal the 2nd Amendment to accomplish this if you really want to, but I don't know that you'd be comfortable with only police, the military, and over 110's having the right to keep and bear arms.

He supposedly had a hand gun so we already know he didn’t obtain it legally. The laws did not allow him to get the weapon.
