    Pretty quick to jump to the negative side of this. Running for governor, this may well be of help to him. He was commenting on a group of politicians who didn't want to say the word gun, but rather, focused on mental health. That isn't enough for a great many Americans (and Texans) - and he said so.

    And exactly WHAT would a jive-ass clown like "Beto" do to prevent creatures like Salvador Ramos from murdering people in a school? Well... WHAT?! Nothing, but strip the right of American citizens to defend themselves?! So, "Beto" showed up to do one thing and one thing only -- to try to shovel sh*t at every Republican in a position of authority in Uvalde, and to throw out a political diatribe: "The time to stop the next shooting is right now and you are doing nothing.     Indeed it does. And censoring him like that may not have the desired effect they wanted. Beto has proven to be a 'man of the people' in crises - and he's doing it again. Some people may not like or respect him (as I didn't when he wanted the POTUS nomination), but I think he has a lot more backing from parents today. Not to mention young voters...

    Abbott is a disgusting maga panderer who rammed through a series of laws aimed at facilitating mass murders by sick gun nuts and persecuting women who try to have an abortion.
    It's so typical that those who rail the most against abortion trip over themselves making excuses whenever there is another mass murder of children.
    Let's hope Texas turns blue before that ******* can drag it back to the stone age.

    You do realize it's possible to be against government regulation of speech and still express disagreement with specific speech?

    The whole point of free speech is the ability to communicate agreement and disagreement.

    IDGAF if he wants to appear black, trans, Cherokee, or hispanic. The fact is that his parents named him Robert Francis. Those are his given names. Someone appeared to claim his parents had named him "Beto", but that's wrong, at least in any legal sense. I was correcting disinformation. Maybe Biden should appoint me to his board.
