You think giving Ukraine 7 billion a month gives the U.S. the right to tell them to give up parts of their country to the Russians?

Money always has strings attached, but I don't think we should give them ANY money.

The reality is that the U.S. is not telling Ukraine to give up some territories. As far as I understand this was directed at a few European countries, like Hungary.

Because I don't agree with the proxy war. If we really don't want Russia to invade other countries, we should step up and fight them ourselves. If we don't have the balls to do that, then we are just taking advantage of another country - letting Ukraine take all the damage, suffering, loss of life, etc, while we just spend money we don't have.

This makes my country look like cowards.

Fighting Russia directly would dramatically increase the risk of nuclear war.

    You want that.

    No. I don't.

btw, I don't think a risk of nuclear war would increase at all. Putin isn't stupid.

Why is it a proxy war? Russia invaded Ukraine and the Ukrainians are fighting to repel the invasion. We and many other countries are assisting the Ukrainians. This is not what I would call a proxy war.

    For clarification:

A proxy war is an armed conflict between two states or non-state actors which act on the instigation or on behalf of other parties that are not directly involved in the hostilities.[1] In order for a conflict to be considered a proxy war, there must be a direct, long-term relationship between external actors and the belligerents involved.[2] The aforementioned relationship usually takes the form of funding, military training, arms, or other forms of material assistance which assist a belligerent party in sustaining its war effort.[2]

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Proxy_war

The Ukrainians are acting on their own, not at our instigation. We are assisting them.

If you support Ukraine, you are indeed just lining the pockets of a select few, one being a certain cokehead that has become the world's biggest beggar. You're being grifted, wake up.

And you're another one of those who discovered imaginary Nazis in Ukraine. Much like Vladimir Putin.

There are only 2 ways to stop the killing in Ukraine: 1)Negotiate. 2) Force Russia to submit.

Option 2 involves ignoring the nuclear threat, invading Russia, going into Moscow, and removing Putin.

If your plan is not one of the above, then it is doomed to fail, and it only serves to prolong the suffering. Participating in a war without a clearly defined objective is immoral.

Why are you shocked by this? Ukraine was never going to be the 51st state. They are considered the mother of Russia for a reason. This is about the West clapping back at Putin, not the liberation of Ukraine.

Russia left Afghanistan in humiliation and defeat without any invasion of Russia or nuclear war being involved.

Why should he grab a third world country?

Ruzzia has nothing but gas and oil. Raw materials that are becoming increasingly insignificant.

Russia was and has always been a peaceful nation - but can we say the same? The illegal invasions of Yugoslavia, Iraq, Libya and Syria come to mind. Putin began realizing the danger of a unipolar world when Clinton (under the instigation of Germany), disregarded the sovereignty of Yugoslavia and began to illegally bomb Belgrade for 78 days.

Thousands were killed on a false premise of genocide when there was no genocide. The intent was to break it up - and in a way that would be favorable to Germany's former allies Croatia and Bosnia. So much for Washington's touted respect for boundaries.

It was this that made Putin realize that we had become a rogue nation and that he better start rebuilding Russia's military. Later on when Washington attempted to overthrow Syria's legally elected president Assad by supporting ISIS, so they could break it up the way they did Yugoslavia, Russia intervened.

Today Washington is illegally occupying Syria's oil rich area and stealing its oil so that Assad will not have the funds to rebuild his country.

Prove it. With a link to an unbiased source. And that means NOT a source opposed to U.S. policy.

And given IIRC you are an acknowleged religious bigot, nothing from you that praises Putin as some kind of supporter of the Eastern Orthodox heretics.

And if you are going to claim that Russia is "peaceful" you should just admit you are trolling and be done with it.

    Bigot.

Russia is the last remaining colonial power. How many of these ethnic areas joined Russia willingly?

New world peace will be achieved only after Russia fully breaks up, as it proved to the whole world that it can function only under heavy handed dictatorial rule which always leans toward imperialism and fascism.

I've always coveted all of Russia East of the Yenisey River for the U.S.

I wonder how many states we could make out of it?

Maybe as part of peace conditions after the next major war with them.

    How about this version:
    E9EC20F7-24E1-44A0-9BF7-1EFB9BE78EFB.jpeg

Bit taking it all the way to Yenisey River works by me.
    :)

If it ever comes to partitioning of Russia then Belarus should be split between Ukraine and Lithuania. Those two countries are very friendly with each other, so peace will be guaranteed in the area. Many members of Azov are pushing for the idea of a voluntary union between Poland, Ukraine, and Lithuania. That would cut Russia off from Europe for good.

You don't sound like you live in America. I've lived here 61 years, and I couldn't tell you what a "typical" American thinks like.
What do people in your country think "typical Americans" think?

Most Americans couldn't care less. Hurry up and come to an agreement! We need to get our minds back on nonsensical social issues.
