So now he is invading countries because he has the military might. The countries he wants to call his aren’t his to take unless you are a 17th century cretin.

I think we have more control over our situation than we think. Not that we can change people, or make the world exactly how each of us would want it, but to accept it and do the best we can with what we have.

Russia can hold itself together only under heavy handed dictatorial or autocratic rule. During the brief time of relative freedom during the 90s, Russia had real separatism in several regions, which include Chechnya and Tatarstan, which had its own car license plates and passports up to very recently.

When the US gives money it is solely for the purpose of investment. "We give you money and you do and say what we tell you to do and say, i.e. we own you". There is NOTHING charitable in American 'gifts'.

 

Of course not. The US wants complete control of No-Krainium and the Donbas is the pearl of the region. Stealing No-Krainium is easy for the CIA to do and they've already got their puppet Zelensky in the country. But Putin understands the danger and isn't willing to let the strategic Donbas go to the US. He might feel that No-Krainum itself would be a 'sour grapes' loss but the Donbas is important. The US wants to get its grubby hands on Donbas and the only way they are going to do it is by keeping it intact as No-Krainium becomes another NATO puppet-state of Washington.

 

That's the sort of statement one makes if "their country" is fine and upstanding and suddenly does something less admirable. But in the Ukraine? You don't need that to prove the US is a shithole. Let's start with Vietnam and a whole list of a few dozen countries where the US proves it is a shithole. The point is that the US is already a shithole .... you don't need a faltering moment in the Ukraine to prove it.

 

No, you've got the cart in front of the horse. It was the US invaded Ukraine and the Ukrainians (ethnic Russian Ukrainians in particular) are fighting to repel the invasion. Other countries are not assisting the Ukrainians at all but just helping to finance the US complete invasion of Ukraine. So .... it is a proxy war in that the US has the Ukraine, with supporting nations, fight Russia on America's behalf.

 

This is a fever dream.

 

War-mongering, inferiority complexed, violent film advocates, gun-totting, hero-worshipping, lip-service theists, who've been weaned on intimidation. That's typical American. Very much like prisoners who get raped and become rapists themselves in order to gain some sort of twisted dignity.

 

Gotta love the twisted narrative that NATO countries and Ukraine were "proxy" invaded and forced to join the West, given what Russia is doing right now. Hilarious!
