    Actually, this is about whether the ballot ENVELOPE is properly filled out...

    And you need to read the law a bit more carefully...

    “because of an error or omission on any record or paper relating to any application, registration, or other act requisite to voting, if such error or omission is not material in determining whether such individual is qualified under State law to vote in such election.”

    Filling out a ballot envelope is an act requisite to voting....in Pennsylvania anyway....

    Yes the mail in ballot THE act of voting, not their registration. And it is done for a reason, in case the USPS screws up.

    Are you indicating the GOP would accept a ballot received LATE by the local election board based on a handwritten date on an envelope??

    Well, they certainly have a decent share, but excessive ballot return rules are obviously too much for the idiots in our society, even as you and I find them easy enough to follow....

    As there is no purpose for this date, leaving it blank has now been determined to be "immaterial"....

    But it's always fun watching the GOP fight against their own voters, this time.... never fails to amuse...

    EDIT, other than these ballots, there are still a lot of uncounted ballots in Pa that will be counted with the recount.... Feeling good for. Dr. Turkey?

    As of Wednesday afternoon, celebrity doctor Mehmet Oz was leading former hedge fund CEO David McCormick by 902 votes.

    State election officials said Wednesday that there are 860 undated Republican mail-in and absentee ballots in 65 of the state’s 67 counties. Two counties have not yet reported their figures.

    Election officials also said that there are roughly 10,000 ballots still being adjudicated, including 6,000 mail-in and absentees and 4,000 provisionals. They include military and overseas ballots, which officials said could not be canvassed until today. Officials could not immediately say how many of these were Republican ballots.

    If the USPS sudden shows up the day after the close and says we have these ballots which we didn't get to but they have the date the voter submitted on them............

    And this is exactly why mail in voting should be limited to confirmed hardship absentee voting.

    So, let's recap

    You and the GOP would be OK if the USPS showed up the day after Election Day (deadline in Penn) with a bunch of ballot envelopes with dates (any date) written on the outside (where anybody can get to them)??

    And THIS is the party of "election integrity"?? I would have no problems with those ballots if they were postmarked as received by the USPS on or before the Election Date deadline, and just couldn't be delivered to the proper location in time, but I wouldn't give 1 hoot about an unverified date written on the outer envelope...
